I was just wondering that basketball fanatics also are divided into what they want to watch between PBA and NBA. I could say that both league has great players, and has great publicity. Of course, I am not taking away that NBA has a lot more because its a part of athletics world phenomenon that this league has already been a mark to history of every country and people whose been fan of watching and supporting basketball. On different level PBA has its limelight also in the country Philippines.
With such comparison, I could say that i still really want to watch more NBA for the reason that the league is better in such level that the PBA. The reason is that PBA has a lot of import player wherein its no different watching a team of purely foreign players. Maybe I can say that the star of PBA is not shining as they should be. MAYBE. It is only my opinion and this is mine.
Sorry to say I'm with NBA, they give a very good game every season.
HAppy mylotting Philippines.

Between the two, NBA is better. Athleticism, shooting, skill, power moves, dunks, show, almost everything, NBA is better. We can learn a lot in NBA since their level of basketball is high. USA is officially the best team in basketball for years already and I don't think any country could surpass them (hope Philippines can). Even our PBA players idolizes NBA players, that alone is a gauge of how big NBA is. But, I still watch both leagues and I enjoy them all.

I love the PBA just like i love the NBA. when i compare the two, the NBA still is the best and i don't think any league can ever surpass the popularity of the NBA. when it comes to the PBA, I love watching the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings. Mark Caguioa is my favorite player along with Jayjay Helterbrand. I hope they will be back in the finals this conference. I also hope mark Caguoa will improve his performance because he performs very poor and it hurts all Ginebra fans.

With the acquisition of new players, I think Ginebra will be back in the standings. They are a good team but they have no legitimate/solid center. Let's just hope that with their current line-up, they will be back to become a championship caliber team.

I used to watch pba but not anymore. I don't find the action interesting enough to watch. I am just a little bit saddened that i haven't seen that much dunking in our local league when there are really tall players who can jump in our country.

hello there. i agree with you too. there are many athletic players in the PBA right now but i can't see dunks often anymore. Kelly williams of the Talk N text dunks often but there is none next to him who dunks often. i hope KG canaleta will bring back his old form and showcase his dunking skills.

I like PBA very much during the time of the Big-J. But right now I seldom watch PBA games. I am a barangay Ginebra fan so I only watch when they play. Another thing PBA teams are owned by few companies- San miguel corp and Manny pangilinan companies so trading of players between sister companies is so easy and is some what unfair to other teams. I do not like also the import laden conference, I prefer the all filipino.
NBA is much better, the competition is great and the pace of the game is much faster than the PBA. A lot of exciting and highlight moves from the talented players. NBA as much exciting to watch right now specially the playoffs where on the 1st round alone, the games are so close.

The PBA sad to say has lost a lot of its popularity.
Why? I think its because they imported too many non-Filipinos or Fil-Ams. New faces that suddenly shows up instead of the traditional Filipino players that came from a popular college and work his way to the PBA.
This is just my opinion but I think they should put a cap on number of imported players and add more from local players. This will also bring benefits to those poor but hardworking young players instead of the Fil-Ams who just come here, dont know much about culture or the country, and then when they dont like their job anymore they fly back and nobody will ever remember they played here.

I'm a basketball fanatic. I really like watching NBA and PBA. It is obvious that NBA is better that PBA because NBA is international while PBA is only local. If you want to watch better players, better plays, better skills, and better game, you should watch NBA. My favorite NBA team is LA Lakers. And my Favorite NBA player is Kobe Bryant. I also watch Philippine Basketball Association because I'm familiar with the different teams and players here in our country. As a Filipino citizen, I should prefer watching PBA than the NBA because the PBA players are the representatives of the National Team of the Philippines.

I go with the NBA especially in recent years. The NBA is played at a faster pace, is more exciting, has more drama and is captured well by high definition cameras with various angles. Even watching the ball swishing through the net in the NBA is more enjoyable.
The PBA? I do not know what happened to the PBA? The pace has become much slower. The coverage has not improved that much. Even the showing of slow mo replay is not as good as before. And if shown, it has to be brought to you by a certain product. One cannot appreciate the dunks, the nice plays, the acrobatic shots because of limited views and angles and the quality of what is shown.
Something is missing in the PBA. The intensity. The fire of yesteryears. The drama. The determination of Patrimonio. The acrobatics of a Samboy or of a Meneses. The magic shots of an Ampalayo. The ruggedness of the Bruise brothers. The excitement of pure shooting in Caidic. The elegance of Mon Fernandez. I don't see that anymore in the current batches. Consistency and heart is somewhat lacking. I love the PBA but I do not know really why I lost interest in it.
I hope the PBA will be more lively in the near future.
