Don't ask me. I do not know the prerequisites for beatification. But ask me if I am excited about John Paul II in the process of becoming a saint. Of course I am! Why? Because I existed in his time! And he once turned his head and looked a me and my friends and blessed us. It was as if here was a man so huge, and millions of people around the world vied for his attention, and he looked at us! And he smiled! Of course my friends and I were shouting his name... and our voices were loud... and yes, we were wild waving and jumping... but he blessed us still... and that mattered to me... As for the canonization, that requires 3 miracles. I think those miracles had happened already, three million times over.... I am just happy I met a saint for real!

I am also so happy that i saw him when he went with Imelda Marcos in our province. He was in that Pope mobile and imelda was in another car following him in the motorcade. My friends and i walked a long way just to get to the road will the motorcade will be passing by. The people were already by their chosen place on the road that night and the motorcade was at early morning! Imagine , our sacrifice just to get a glimpse of Pope John Paul. He waved at us and when he did that, we felt so happy! Really!

I also had a chance to meet John Paul II when he went to our province. My uncle drove the pope mobile at that time. Since then, I knew there is something special with him. He has that certain aura that I cannot explain when you meet him. I am very happy too to have met a saint in my lifetime. Viva il papa.

Are you kidding me, if you can see in the bible we are already saint through the righteousness of Jesus imparted us when we have faith to Him. Beatification of human is not deserve to anyone, it is only God can recognized, blessed, make miracle. Miracles are happening not by human works but God's work which using only such person to show God power, but human cannot be own such power and recognition. Sorry but do not agree for what Catholic specially Vatican done... see you around

Hi eileen. You are so blessed to have had such an experience. I know to other people you may just be one of the random people who went to such gathering but I know it meant a lot to you and now that the Pope is together with God, I'm sure he remembers you and your friends.

Hi eileen leyva: Lucky you!. I feel excited about JP2 cannonization. He really deserves it. He was a saint. For me and for most of the catholic persons I know Pope JP2 was a huge isnpiration. He was a really good pastor, his dedication for the church and his teachings are present with us. ALVARO

I heard it only takes 2 miracles, but what do I know? Why did this French nun pray to him and not god? It doesn't make sense to me. :$ There are lots of people with Parkinson's disease. Why not rid all of them of it? Lots of questions remain unanswered!

Are you a catholic. If not, I will not be surprised as his works are recognized all over. I really envy you having met him before, what country is that. When he came to my country, I couldn't get to see him.
