We were awake early – just before 6am – and I put on my...

The photo has nothing to do with the post. It’s Vince sitting on a lot up the hill from our house-sit and trying to get a phone signal.
I learnt a new word today. The chief of Australia’s National Anti-Corruption Commission has...

Max Crisp Having fresh drinking water from a tap is something we take for granted here. On the rare occasions it’s not available, it causes panic as it is vital for our survival. When it does happen, the water companies but bowsers in the streets and deliver bottled...

Max Crisp That’s a great clock. I’m just used to A.M. or P.M. but that takes time to another level. I’m guessing it must adjust to the time of year, not just the time of day, so the pre-dawn time varies. I think I would get obsessed with when it changed and get no sleep...

I guess now that some of my MLLs (non-native English speakers) know that I have the pocket translator they felt more comfortable asking me for help with the Punnett square problems. Several of the Spanish-speakers came up to my...

"Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" Most know this idiom but looking around I hardly find anyone following this rule.
I believe in this I get to bed by 8.30 and am up between 4 and 5 in the...

Max Crisp My mantra used to be - If I’m not in bed by 10pm, I’m going home.
