I haven’t been myself

March is almost over and I am glad for that. March is always a hard month for me.
I’ve been in such a funk. My depression has been worse and I just don’t feel right . I think I’m either going through early menopause or Pcos. I’ll go to the doctor in a few weeks and see what’s going on.
I asked my first cousins and sister if they went through anything similar. At the same age as me my one cousin learned she has Pcos and my sister found out she had fibroids. My issues don’t seem like fibroids though.
I’ve been keeping busy. From now right through until about September will be busy busy. I’ll pop in when I can and when I feel up to it.

I’m so sorry to hear it. My niece has gotten into a worse “funk” this month, and it could be early menopause for her as well. Or the weather. I don’t think enough is done to inspect the influence on see-saw weather has on feeling down. Anyway, I hope you feel better quickly.

@Fourwalls that sounds even worse. I hope she will be okay. I don’t think mine is weather related but I do love when it’s warm outside. It was very chilly today here

@Dreamerby I did my husband and I took our little one and all the dogs for a walk in the woods. It was much chiller then I was expecting though.
Yesterday my little one and I went to pick up something in a town an hour away. So we found a geocache while there and I hid one myself for others to find. I got a free coffee at Dunkin Donuts as part of their April fools no joke offer. We visited a thrift store and a vendor place and got some good things. So my month is off to a good start.

My niece was on the phone yesterday and talked about how restless she feels as she is concerned about this and that
I told her to count her blessings and ask God for forgiveness for not doing it earlier.
I am not asking you to do that

@allknowing I definitely do count my blessings but some things we do have to worry about. Early menopause is really bad for our bodies so I need to rule that out. I think it is Pcos though and a diet change can help with that. I’ve cut back on sugar a bit and have stopped taking an extra iron pill. For now I’m just taking a multivitamin.

@snowy22315 so far I’m cutting back on sugar and stopping the extra iron pill I take and just taking my multivitamin. I am feeling better the past few days but I think it’s all just hormones effecting me. Things have been out of whack.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling depressed. Maybe it’s lack of vitamin D? Hopefully the onset of Spring, with its promise of better days ahead will boost your spirits.

@Orson_Kart I’ve never lacked vitamin D since I take multivitamins so I don’t think it’s that. Once my little one gets her new glasses I’ll be able to see what schedule will be like and can make myself an appointment to have blood work done. I think it’s pcos.

@Orson_Kart early menopause would be worse I think so I’m hoping it’s pcos over that.

@shaggin I had to look PCOS up. It doesn’t sound good. AI says there is no cure, but the symptoms can be managed. I hope you can get some relief from it.

@DaddyEvil I would have probably went to the chiropractor first. Then again you don’t want them messing with it if there’s something wrong more then just being out of alignment. I’m sorry you didn’t have bc a better day

@shaggin You know you're always welcome.
I wasn't feeling well today. My stomach was upset so I slept as as I could. I have a doctor appointment in the morning to see what is causing the pain in my hip and left leg. If the regular doctor can't fix it, I have an appointment with a chiropractor day after tomorrow and hopefully, they can fix the problem.

@Judyev I think a diagnosis would be nice and then I think I likely have to try to make a diet change if it’s Pcos. I did try to cut back and eat a little healthier as well as stopped taking an iron pill so I’m only taking a multivitamin. That doesn’t have enough iron in it but the extra pill puts me way over the amount I should get in a day and out of the blue started making me extremely nauseated for an hour after taking it. Too much can raise blood sugar so I’m thinking that would affect the pcos as well.

Good for you seeking out information to help you. Sometimes things go undiagnosed but they are right there in the middle of everything.

I've never come across the term Pcos and had to look it up, which is odd, because I do have polycystic ovary syndrome. But I don't seem to have too much androgen. If anything, I don't have enough because I have very little body hair and my head hair is falling out.

@Barbaraprz maybe it can affect people both ways. My hair grows insanely fast but my hair has gotten a lot thinner over the years. I do take care of facial hair but it’s not bad like I see some women I’ve seen.

@wolfgirl569 I don’t feel any different I’m still in a funk but I keep going about doing the things I always do. I need a free week to go to the doctors but I have very few free days until May. I have an important appointment I’m waiting for with my little one so I need to see when that is before planning anything.
