This saying - Survival of the fittest - can be related to any situation In my case it is the zinnia saplings that we transplanted. Just one has survived despite those heavy showers There are more to be transplanted but I am proud of this little sapling that has resisted strong winds and I see it is growing slowly. I am hopeful nothing will come in its way and already imagining flowers on this little nothing Keeping my fingers crossed

It always makes my day to see my flowers coming alive from winter I have a bunch of my flowers bouncing back I'm ready to get to work & start getting things transplanted in their permanent growing spot.

April is not a month for rain. We had those pots with saplings out in the open and that is how disaster struck But this little one has survived. For you guys getting out of winter could be very exciting so far as gardening is concerned.

Your zinnia saplings fits like a glove to the theory of Survival of the Fittest propounded by Charles Darwin.

Despite my best efforts over the years, the weeds always win over the plants that I bought and planted. Often because the slugs and other beasties love to eat my offerings. I should just leave it to the fit weeds and let them get on with it.

I have a biggish garden but these pests will come to my vegetable plants even if there is just one. What do you have to say to that Nature is nasty by all standards.

Those are pretty. I thought they were fairly easy to grow from seed?

Easy to grow provided the seeds are healthy and the saplings do not get beaten by heavy rain
