Some of my friends used tampons and they claim that using it has more advantage that using pads. I am an Asian, so I find it embarrassing talk this frankly to my sister students. So I just wanna ask then what some questions that I hope any on you guys would give an answer. 1. Should I use tampons or pads? 2. What kind of tampons or pads are recommended, as I am not familiar with which one is better. 3. What are their difference over the other? 4. Could I used tampons or pads at the same time? 5. And would using them have the same advantage? 6. Is it very risky to use tampons? I don't have any idea on how to use tampons. Happy mylotting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hi. mhayfie. It is your choice on the kind of feminine protection that you prefer to use. I have used maxi pads all of my life. I have never used tampons at all. I have heard of the dangerous side effects that tampons can give. In making and choosing your selection you will need to go by, your blood flow, how light, moderate and heavy your blood flows. Also, the type of protection that you need as your menstrual cycle is on. I would recommend using Kotex, Always or Stayfree maxi pads for your feminine protection.

For me i feel comfortable wearing pads,I have never use tampons .I like the pad with the wings, which is more comfortable for me. Its best to use one at a time,I don't think its necessary to use both at the same time.I don't have any idea an how to use a tampons i have never brought it before either. So i stick to the evil that i know which is pad,i have grown up seeing my family using it an went i was a teen that's what my mom bought for me as well so i just stick with it.

1. Should I use tampons or pads? It depends. What are you comfortable with? 2. What kind of tampons or pads are recommended, as I am not familiar with which one is better. I can't recommend any tampons, but as far as pads go I prefer those with wings. I also prefer the longer and thinner pads as they absorb well and without any extra bulk. 3. What are their difference over the other? Um, if you don't know the difference then maybe it's best you avoid tampons altogether! LOL 4. Could I used tampons or pads at the same time? Why? There's no need to do that if you're using either of them correctly. 5. And would using them have the same advantage? Same advantage as to what? 6. Is it very risky to use tampons? There have known to be risks associated with tampons. That's why I'd rather stick with pads myself. LOL I hope this helps. Happy mylotting!

there's nothing embarrassing about discussing about tampons with your girlfriends , i am asian too. well that's my opinion. ANYWAY...here my answers to your questions. 1. use whatever is comfortable to you, ask yourself how do you feel about pads? and tampons? 2. ok, read the labels on all types of pads and tampons you can find at your local store, that's one way to familiarize yourself with these products. and as you learn more about them, you'll find it easier to decide which one is best for you that should suit your needs. you may also buy in small quantities or small packages, just to try it out, and then if you're not satisfied, find another one. there's no such thing as "better" because it all depends on what you need and what you are looking for. 3. you'll find the difference after you try. we all have different experiences and opinions on this one. you have to be original and find out for yourself what's yours. 4. i don't think you need to use tampons and pads at the same time, but sometimes i prefer to use tampons and panty liners together, for extra protection. depending on how heavy you menstruate, a regular sized tampon would usually last you less than 7 hours (it is recommended that you change tampons around every 8 hours ). 5. there are pros and cons in using any of them. 6. everything in life has a risk. the risk is always there, but it is minimal...as long as you follow the instructions.

I am Asian too, and I have never used tampons, I haven't even seen them sell any here. You can search the net all about them ,I still prefer pads since they are what i'm used to, and it just depends on the brand you use-I have tried some and now I am sticking to Kotex..

1. use what you prefer to use 2. I don't use either anymore, so don't know about brands. I use a mooncup now, and wouldn't go back. 3. tampons are worn internally, which is more discrete, and allows you to swim and so on, and pads are worn outside, attached to your underwear. tampons are usually more comfortable, and don't restrict your activities. however you can't wear tampons before your period starts, so if you think you're due, you can use a pad in preparation to avoid being caught out, which you can't with a tampon. 4/5. you could use them both at the same time if you wanted. 6. if your hands are clean and you change them regularly, it's not very risky to use tampons. as I said though, I prefer mooncups, which are safer as they don't have absorbant fibres against you on the inside.

I was never a tampon user. i heard too many stories of damage with a tampon when i was achild so the thought of using a tampon was far from my mind. i was alwaysmore comfortable using a pad inastead.

It depends on how you feel wearing them. Some people find either tampons, or pans uncomfortable. I would suggest trying them out and see what you feel better in. I use both (not at the same time) depending on what I'm doing that day or how I feel. I dont like tampons much, but if i'm going to the beach or pool, then I use them. I would say that that is the advantage of tampons. The difference over brands, I would say I have found them to all do the job just as good as each other. I have brought stores own and then a high priced brand item and then not being able to tell the difference. The only risk really with tampons, is if you forget you have one in and leave it in there for too long, they say to change it every 4 hours. I hope this helps.

1. Should I use tampons or pads? - Use whatever you feel comfortable with. I am more comfortable using tampon, but I use pad too, especially at night. 2. What kind of tampons or pads are recommended, as I am not familiar with which one is better. - Personally, I don't mind about the brand, as long as it does the job, I'm fine with it. 3. What are their difference over the other? - Tampon is inserted inside and Pad is attached to the underwear. 4. Could I used tampons or pads at the same time? - Yes, I use them both all the time. It like using tampon as it is cleaner, but when I have to go out or at night before sleeping, I put pad on as well for the extra protection. 5. And would using them have the same advantage? - Both does the same thing; but I have heard that using tampon can reduce the number of days by a day, not sure if that's true. 6. Is it very risky to use tampons? I don't have any idea on how to use tampons. - It is not risky to use tampon at all. Make sure that your hands are clean before you insert the tampon, and make sure you insert it fully and properly. Change your tampon often. Leaving it too long inside can cause infection. Buy a pack of tampon, and the pack will have written instruction as to how to insert it.

I think using tampons or pads is a preference and neither is better or worse. Personally, I like tampons because pads make me feel very dirty. When you wear them, you can feel them and it is just a constant reminder of what is going on inside your body, so I don't like them at all. For tampons, I like the pearl ones because they are plastic applicator instead of cardboard. I think they are easier to use because of this. You don't use tampons and pads at the same time. You use one or the other. If you use tampons, you could use very thin pads called panty liners that some people use. I don't think it is risky to use tampons if you are smart about it...just like anything else! You can't leave them in for an excessive amount of time just like you wouldn't pads. There are instructions on tampon boxes that will show you how to use them. No one knows how to use them the first time. Just read the instructions and you after you do it a couple times, you don't even think twice about it!
