Hello Mylotters , Microsoft officially announced that it was going to stop its support for its well known operating system Windows XP , so it advises all its users to upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8 depending on the date of its release . Its time to change our Operating Systems !

I guess as a business they have to move on. But we don't. If the PC is still working then, I will probably look towards an open source distro (e.g. linux) or keep it as is. I think the PC might konk-out before the XP.
LoL. Then again, if I am replacing, I will think more carefully. Hopefully by then Android on PC is available and stable. Here's looking to you, Android Baby.

I strictly use XP and until the very last day where I myself can't support it and or someone to support I won't be changing. There are so many kinx with upgrades that I prefer to wait it out.

They said they were withdrawing support for Windows 98 for years...even past the time they said, they were still supporting it and Windows 98 still had many, many users. Ire are still heaps and heaps of people using XP.
For interest sake, I have Windows 7 and I love it.

Microsoft Windows XP is already obsolete. In many laptops now a days you can't even install XP if you are not an advanced user. So its not numbered its over.

Well its been more than 10 years from its release i think. But i just hope they make a better more efficient, non hogging resources OS than windows vista and windows 7.

Yeah I agree windowsxp was a good operating system back in the day but that day was years ago I like windows 7 now because its so much faster and more feture filled but I gues thats what to expect as technology advances stuff gets old faster and faster soon the days of windows 7 will be Numbered. But I think windows 7 will last alot longer than vista, still I can't wait for windows 8.
