and, yes the Royal Wedding. So the wedding is over. Kate looked lovely. I loved the way the queen checked her out as she went by after Kate courtseyed. And now the media is discussing whether it is a marriage made in heaven or not. I think with William's history with his mom and so forth the marriage will last. Lets remember they have been together nine years. Kate wears alot of dresses with jackets and the media is cutting her for that. I think she has a very distinctive style and always looks very nice. I heard too that Kate's family actually put forth a substantial amount for the wedding(about $163,000 although they said it was more than that early on) The bookies in London say we should be looking for a baby anouncement by june 2012. I think William will definitely get his mother's name in if they have a girl and I think Philip would be fitting if they have a boy and William is very close with his grandfather. So, what do those of you who watched the wedding think? I think they make a great couple. I think Kate will make a great duchess and later Princess. She has the berring for it and she even reminds me of Diana in some ways. I thought it very nice of William to give Kate his mom's ring that she had given him just for this occasion. I think William really made his mom proud. Your thoughts?

Hi celtic, Yeah, enjoyed the wedding party yesterday. In my observation Diana was much beautiful than Kate. But Kate has a charming personality and her smile is really a Royal smile. When they waved the public from the top of the building it was a scene to be captured. Let their marital life be ever happy.

Both Kate and Lady Diana got beutiful smile, but from my view, Kate looks so elegant even with very simple wedding dress, and for Diana, for me she looks like a humble person, her smile is warming (a mother's smile. For face: Kate is more beauty for me, but if keep looking at here face for 15mnts, I get bored. While for Diana, she's cute, her face just like her smile, so warm, I'll never get bored looking at her face.

Hi celtic! I didn't watch any of the wedding, but I did read about it and looked at the photos online. Kate looked stunning! And she does remind me a bit of Diana. I think they make a really nice couple better than Diana and Charles anyday! The ring was given to Harry by Diana (for some reason) and he gave it to William to give to Kate. Don't know what the was about but, I did read about it, but didn't see why Diana gave the ring to Harry and not William in the first place and what she gave to William instead. (will have to check further). Just hope that they are happy!

The engagement ring was given to William by Diana long ago! She felt she didn't need it anymore because she was no longer with his father. I think she meant it for just what Will used it for. As I heard it the ring was given to William not Harry. I hope they will be happy too. I think Kate reminds me alot of Diana.

Yes, yes, yes to all the above. I so agree with you. I think they make a great couple, they match. I also think Diana would be very pleased. William looks so happy and above all that is what she would want for her sons.

Kate is very similar to Diana. I think they were made for each other, but you can never tell. The wedding dress was beautiful and very under stated. I felt she could have gone for glamour, but good on her for not. I think the dress reflected her true personality.

MY Goodness..AM I ever "johnny-on-the spot!" Don't think Ihave EVER responded to a discussion started 5 minutes ago..LOL! To answer...I dearly feel in this poor OLD World...so fraught with strife, Wars, financial collapses..and HORRENDOUS Weather catastrophe's...WE NEEDED A "TRUE LIFE' Fairy tale...resplendent with MAGIC, with tremendous love (that just emanated from BOTH!)...Beauty, Pomp and Ceremony. I watched in awe, and it truly gave me a "feel good all over, feeling!" Hang the media, whatever they speculate -- they will not be able to permeate this strong love..and aura! They are perfect, individually..and together. And both, have, I am sure, made their parents feel truly honored. LOVE...LOVE...LOVE IT!

I have no problem with them, the wedding and all..it was nice and pretty and all. But what I have been really disgusted with is that no matter what that poor Kate does...they compare it to Diana. What she does or doesn't do is always compared to what Diana did or would have done. Good grief...last night when they announced that in July the couple will be coming to Los Angeles, first thing they did was go back and tell about when Diana came to the US first with Chuck and then next times she came on her own. It went on so long I forgot it started with W and K and thought, "why are they talking about Diana?... oh, yeah, W and K." IT's like "Diana and oh yeah BTW, Kate something or another" I am sure Kate is sympathetic with/for William and his situation with his mother and is accepting it for those reasons etc, but I have to wonder...will she grow to resent Diana because she herself can't do anything without being compared to her mother-in-law? I saw more of Diana's wedding than I did Kate's. They went on more about Diana's wardrobe than they do about Kate's. And if it keeps up, have to wonder also...will William start to resent or other way have bad feelings to his wife cause with all the media in every venue comparing her to his mother...will he start wanting Kate to be like his mother...and she won't and there starts the divorce proceedings... all cause the media and others, made her into Diana's "mini-me"? Sad,but it could happen. HOpe is doesn't but sure looks like it is going that way!

And if their baby is called Diana...then the focus is going to always be on the baby girl...Diana's grand daughter, Diana's only grand child, not Kate or even Will, and I bet you Kate is not going to like that at all...but won't be able to stop it. Then that little girl won't even have her own identity...she'll always be known as Princess Diana's grand daughter.....not by her own name

Kate is very much like William's mother and i have never heard her say that she disliked being compared. She is a very gracious and lovely woman. And they will be doing the history of Diana, William, and Kate for along time to come. I really don't have a problem with it and am sorry to hear that you do. I think they will be very happy for a very long time and I think it would be a very nice jesture for them to name a child after Diana. Out of respect for her memory.

I never said Kate said she disliked being compared. She probably don't even realize it is happening. But if the media don't stop...she will see it and as it goes on and on and on..she is going to get upset about it. She couldn't even be her own person on her wedding day...I don't know a thing about Kate, but I know tons and learned even more, about Diana that day!I haven't nothing against Diana. She was a great lady especially for how she handled what she went through. And I am sure Kate was happy to let William do what he wanted to do with bringing her into the day. I haven't a problem with any of it. I hope they are happy and stay happy forever. Thing is...the media won't let them alone. Few years down the road, kate will start seeing it and get tired of nothing she ever says or does is credited to her... but compared to Diana. And I hope they are blessed with lots of children...but the first one, especially if it is a girl, will not be known as her name...the media will always refer to her as "Princess Diana's grand child"...she won't have her own identity either. I hope it don't work out this way, but knowing the media and how they work...it will.

...Hi there celticeagle, I watched just about every moment of the Royal wedding, from the time I woke up on Friday morning. It was quite spectacular. The horses, the flags, the people, her dress, her sister's dress. It was all like a real fairy tale in modern times. Her dress was elegant and beautiful, twenty seamstresses worked on it, washing their hands every hour. She is dignified and charming as is William. The outfits of some of the guests were interesting, especially the hats, some of which looked as if they were messages of some kind to somebody. Who, who knows? The couple appear to be very caring and I think there was a report that Diana had told William, to be sure that he and the lady he chose were good friends, because she and Charles had not been friends when they married and she thought that was very important. William seemed to have taken that to heart, which is a good thing. I feel they will have a successful marriage. I do hope that they have a girl and name her Diana so that Camille can burn with anger. I understand that she took all of Diana's friends off of the wedding guest list. If true I don't know. I also hope they have a boy and not name him Charles, can't stand him or the rothweilder. Great wedding, the rain showers stayed away. All in all, a splendid affair. They are called the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, their other titles are the Earl and Countess of Strathearn and the Baron and Baroness of Carrickfergus. Say that three times fast. Cheers.

Thank you for your input, it was delightful. Yes, I would love to see a child with Diana's name. I also heard a narrator say that Camille looked every day her age. It was great! Wow! Nothing like having three names. Like a gypsy.

It was truly lovely from the beginning to the end. I watched the re-run of the show and was so amazed on how much similarities there are between the Duchess and the Late Princess. I do wish them well and hope they will not be complete public media because that can cause so much havoc. He is so much like his late mother that I believe that Kate has gotten a true Gem.

What a lovely idea..I had not thought of them using Diana's name if they have a girl, but that would be so fitting. They could pick any of William's names ..William, Arthur, Philip or Louis..:O I think they are a wonderful couple and the world is rejoicing with them. I thnk Kate is marvelous and perfect for him. I loved the fact she has Diana's ring and it will always be close by them.
