It is 2:30am where I am and I should be sleeping but for some reason I am wide awake so i decided to get online and snoop around and since I havent checked in here in quite awhile I thought why not. I am trying to be quiet because both my husband and kids are sleeping and have early mornings so I do not want to risk keeping them up but right now it doesnt really seem to make a difference because my dog is upstairs making all sorts of noise and I have no idea why..the hallway(where her bed is) is right above the living room and i am not sure if she is itching ir what but it sound slike a herd of elephants up there and I just know she is going to wake someone up if she doesnt stop. Do you have any pets that seem to do things that you wish they wouldnt because it will bother someone else?

Yes. LOL. My dog loves to bark every time he thinks he hears someone is here. He will not shut up either. I have to keep him in other areas of the house, to keep him from waking us up by doing that.

Barking...that is the thing that I worry about. My neighbor comes out and the dogs bark and run over...LOL...they are saying hi. I just worry that it bothers them even though they have dogs of their own and says it doesn't. I am thinking of getting a fence this summer.

More and more, I've been staying awake late at night too. People would be sleeping, and I would be watching reruns of House! I know I should be sleeping like everybody else in the house, but sometimes I find myself wide awake. Thankfully, the only pet I have at home is just a fish. They don't take much in terms of taking care-of, and they don't make a lot of noise.

It's a good thing that our dogs do not make noise at night. They only bark simultaneously and unrelenting, if they smell or see something or someone lurking around the neighborhood. When that happens, my husband and i would awaken and from our windows would determine what caused them to bark.

I have dogs but very rare that they disturb me at night. Actually, it's more of a neighbor enjoying the videoke of his own that disturbs me often. Usually, they would stop already late at night. :-)

It is 11:30pm where I am and I suppose really that I should be sleeping but, here I am watching the television. I am watching The Great British Hairdresser and it is one of my favorite shows. For some reason I am always wide awake at night so I come on the internet and do some writing. I only have a cat and hamster so no noisy pets here thank goodness. Just noisy children. I have 2 children aged 5 and 18 months old.

Harmony has a bad habit of insisting I get up when I'd rather stay in bed, but other than that, there's no one else around to disturb. Neighboring dogs, on the other hand...

Oh we sure do! We have inside three little dogs that like to bark at any sound that they seem to hear. Like this morning when our mailman came to the door, the dogs heard him before we did and went off like a cannon! We have two outside dogs that like to bark at our neighbors when they venture out or some unseen wild animal or even at our cats. *sigh.

I'm a nocturnal person myself too, and the internet is always a shining treasure in the middle of a boring night. And no, my pets are always either sleeping somewhere or cuddling or begging for treats, I like my pets haha.

I do not have a pet currently but I'm kind of wishing I did. I used to have had a cat, but I was too young and didn't really take care of it as much as I should of. Now that I'm older, I wish I do have a pet. Hearing from your stories, I wonder if pets will be a good idea or not due to the trouble and problems they cause.
