Do We Have To Keep Saying Sorry To God?

As born again Christian's should we continually ask forgiveness from God? Or does Christ's sacrifice 2000 years ago pay for all of my sins? If so why do I have to come back to God every day and ask forgiveness for the sins that I do? When old Testament prophets prophecise the day that says God will remember their sins no more.

I don't really think so, but if you think you have sinned against God then say sorry, if you have sinned against anyone, say sorry to them.. And reconcile with them, it's never a god feeling to quarrel with someone..

It is known if we are true in repenting. We should not have to repeat ourselves over and over again to make it so. God knows all of our sins and if we are making a right and just confession for those sins.

For goodness sake it is a load of superstitious nonsense. You do not have to do anything you don't want to. If you want to pretend you have offended against a god or humanity or whatever then do that but there is no compulsion to do so.

All you poor pitiful wretches out there, stop worrying. God knows one must make a few bad choices in order to learn from those consequences. Aren't the results the most important thing??? Could you really be who you are today if you hadn't screwed up?? I think not!! God loves you endlessly and unconditionally. If you are really messed up, God will help teach you the way. If God can create universes, how hard can it be to straighten out a few wayward children?? Do not allow religion or their teachings to make you feel less of yourself than you really are. You are a Wonderful Work of Art!! You are a Child of God.

As a human nobody needs to ask forgiveness just for the sake of asking. Put your self in God's shoes, Would you want to hear apologies all the time or you you rather have humans do what is good for the world? Be good to your self and good to everyone else. There will be no need to say sorry to anyone.

I thought your so said God Jesus is a forgiver and he'll forgive all your sins so why you have to say sorry to him , but i think the people and humans whom you met in the real world aren't like that why can't you tell the same sorry and thanks to everyone .

Imagine how tired God must get with 'born again Christians' persistence, in whining about their sins! Why do people believe that God even cares about their transgressions? "You were given this day your daily bread, and you are forgiven your debts, and your trespasses, exactly to the degree that you have forgiven those who trespass against you. Lead your Self not into temptation, but deliver your Self from the evils you have created. For thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen. And Amen." ~ from Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch

Nobody is perfect but that doesn't mean that you keep on doing the same sin again and again. We do need to ask God for forgiveness and I will always be at His feet to beg for His mercy and forgiveness if I commit sin, intentionally or unintentionally. For all have fallen short but this does not mean also that I need to get back doing the same sin again and ask God for forgiveness because we already are fooling ourselves. But here is what I can tell you my friend, if we sin against God it is better to ask for forgiveness. We are not perfect, you do say things and do things unpleasing to God. We don't just depend on the merits of our salvation as what Christ has done 2000 years ago by our alibi of committing the same sins again and again. I hope you get my point when I say about the sins we do since there will never be a BIG sin and a SMALL sin, it will all be counted as SIN. Salvation is by faith through Christ Jesus. But we must acknowledge that true repentance is followed by believing on God's Word and turning away from sin and believing on what God has done for us on the cross. But surely I tell you that as a true follower, we should be sensitive to what sin is and what sin can do to our relationship with God. Lack of repentance is always the most ignored part of most Christians. They think that once in their life if they confess their faith in Christ they are already saved. But didn't even realized to repent and just continued doing what is not the Will of God. I ask you this, when was the last time you cried or weep over your sins and ask God to forgive you for what you have done. If we cannot detect what sin is, then we really do have a problem because of our pride, we will all be self righteous and not humble before God if we do this.
