most people i know love garlic especially when fried but spare my son.he loves everything about garlic, either raw or fried. what i love about this act is that he can benefit a lot from doing so. according to research, garlic has long been considered a herbal "wonder drug".Studies (2) have shown that garlic - especially aged garlic - can have a powerful antioxidant effect. Antioxidants can help to protect the body against damaging "free radicals".i just also knew that are allergens in garlic. There are a few people who are allergic to garlic. Symptoms of garlic allergy include skin rash, temperature and headaches.

It's great that your son likes a food that is so healthy. I love garlic but I can only eat it cooked. I am one of those who have some kind of allergy. I just feel sick after I even bite a little bit of raw garlic.

I accept with sashakiddo, Nice to hear your son loves garlic. And he can tolerate the taste. Its real good for health and all problems. It infact helps in immunity. Most kids dont like it. I tried once to eat raw, but i cannot taste it. I appreciate your son, he has a good healthy habit.

That's a good thing, most children don't want anything to do with spices or vegetables...

I like garlic to a degree. However, my digestive system does not. It usually gives me heartburn since I had my kids :-( But if I eat it earlier in the day it doesn't bother me so much.

I too love garlic but I don't like it raw. I love garlic especially when it blends with vegetables and other food. It just adds to the taste! It's good to hear that your son is benefiting from the power of healthy antioxidant of garlic! Thank you for posting an informative discussion of garlic! Now I have learned something that is valuable.

I have never heard of anyone chewing garlic before, though I love garlic myself. I put it in almost everything! I put it in my stir fry, chili, and with meatloaf. It's good for the heart too. I love garlic.
I have heard of people chewing ginger though. I saw this one on Dr. Oz and I was looking for it everywhere when I finally found it in the spice section at Walmart. I have to get some of that. The ginger is suppose to help fight belly fat.

Hi flagella!^^
I had an uncle, may he rest in peace, he used to chew raw garlic to lower his high blood pressure. Aside from that, all the person I know who loves garlic only loves it fried in fried rice or toasted peanuts. I don't know anyone who loves raw garlic. But garlic is one of the popular spices here. I don't eat the garlic in food but sometimes I am able to eat it if it's toasted in fried rice or fried peanuts. Other than that, I really don't like eating it.
We also put mashed garlic in vinegar as a condiment.^^

Garlic is a natural antibiotic and has many health benefits. The only thing that turns down people from chewing it is the bad odor in creates inside our mouth. I just hope something really effective in counteracting the bad odor will be invented. It is quite embarrassing to see people turning away from you when you talk, is it not?

I love anything and everything garlic. When I'm cooking I usually start with garlic, onions and mushrooms. I use fresh garlic as much as possible as I don't want just a hint which is a result of the garlic powders and garlic salts. I've been using it for years so any health benefits have already occurred. Such regular usage may be why I haven't seen any vampires around, huh?

I know that garlic is a powerful herbal medicine but I just hope your son will have the correct amount of it. An overdose of it might be a cause of anemia. I do hope that your could research too the side effect of it to make sure that it will not harm him.

I love garlic too. Raw or fried it doesn't matter. I like the smell of it too. We use garlic in almost all our food here and we usually have a small plate of raw garlics while having dinner. But I usually eat garlic only during dinner because it has a really strong smell and can make your breath smell/stink whatever you say

I have read an article about garlic that there's no good evidence that taking garlic in any amount or form is good for your health. on the other hand, eating large doses of fresh garlic can cause dermatitis, stomach problems and rarely allergic reactions. So at least for now keep garlic in the kitchen not in the medicine cabinet.

Owww! That's good for your son! For me I really hate garlic. It makes me vomit when I bite it accidentally on my food. I dunno, I just don't like the taste! But it really is good for the health so cheers to your son!
