Hi. demoneko. I have tried looking for the expiration date on a small bottle of vanilla extract that my father-in-law gave to me and I could not find one. I think that you should smell it to see how it smells. Do you usually store your vanilla extract into a cool cabinet? If so, then it may still would be fresh enough to use it.

you can use the vanilla flavoring for a long time, but I don't think that it don't have a expiration time. maybe if you check another bottle and compare the if it have a expiration time.

I would let my taste and smell senses come into play here. If it's weakened any, I would have to double when using in recipes, but I'd go on and use it til it was gone.
I don't have a problem with vanilla and most seasonings expiring as I use them so often. Recommendations are such that the herbal seasonings be replaced after a year if no expiration date is on the container. But, here again, I'd be using the taste and smell to go on.

I use it until the bottle is empty. I have never had any problem with many of those spices. Even pepper lose their flavour a bit, but can be used until finished.
