Computers are everywhere. Well, almost. LOLs
We use computers for many important tasks and we sure are glad that the technology is there - continuously growing, improving.
But as we use our computers, most of us are stuck within its basic concepts - I know a lot of people have very little knowledge of the deeper technicalities involving computers.
When I purchased my laptop, my nose almost bled because of what the man in the shop was telling to convince me. He kept talking about terms I know I've heard of before, but haven't understood just yet. But thanks to that guy I now know what a 64-bit system is, what's a DDR, a processor and a video card. LOLs. He must have thought I was so pathetic I knew so little about those stuff.
But am I alone?
Do you all guys know much already about computer technologies?

Computer becomes need for everyone. Most of the work can be done with the help of computers. I think every one must have the knowledge of computer hardware and software. I knew a site which provides proper notes of computer hardware and networking. Hope you will also like the site.

I am very interested in new technologies and mainly with anything related to computers. Thus, I admit I am very knowledgeable both on hardware and in software too.
I learned on these things by buying computer-related magazines and reading through all single articles. I did not attend a specific class or college.
You can gain knowledge on such little by little. If you are interested in checking around to learn some things, you can start now. You will not learn all at once, but you might learn enough to help you reach even deeper in technicalities related to the subject.
Have a nice day!

I had no knowledge of computer technologies when I first started to use. But with time and through use I have learned a lot though it is not at all significant for mentioning.

Just having the knowledge of computer doesn't mean, that you know the computers very well, applying your knowledge, is the part of knowledge.
Besides the basic knowledge of computers i also know the programming languages, and designing and developing websites.

I am fairly knowledgeable with computers. I have had my fair share of practice with them over the years. I have had to fix several problems also. I'm no wiz at it but pretty good with them.

My knowledge of computers grows day by day. When i first began on a computer, i was very lacking in my abilities. Now i gain more confidence the longer I am on the computer. I do believe that my computer skills have developed greatly over the years.

actually i just learned from reading materials, the internet, technicians and some savvy computer users. i basically learned from scratch and now i can assemble a CPU without a hitch. never be afraid to try and discover anything on your computer, it won't easily break, lol! practically doing it yourself, i mean trying to repair for any problems, research on the net and possibly get some pointers from technicians or computer savvy friends.

I think my knowledge for computers is very complex.
I am understanding a great variety of software programs, utilities and languages like MS Office, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Visual Basic, HTML, PHP, ARCGIS Desktop, C++, MySQL, WIN OS and many more. On other side i understand and the computer hardware. From assembling a computer to localizing and repairing a problem (but only small ones :). I understand BIOS and Linux too, but i don`t have any idea for MAC :). Probably my knowledge has going bigger with the years. I have computer from 10-12 years. In the begging i was a lamer, now I am very advanced. I suggest you to start learning slowly some stuff that you find interesting, about the computers and the technologies. Like you are participating in Mylot ;) I know all that stuff because i was interested in. If you are not interested in something (program, hardware part), don`t try to learn it, you will forgot it. Well in my case was that :)
Best Regards !

Working at computer programming, I must know many things that the average people don't even bother with. I like all those things related with computers and know a great variety of things about it, but it always happen from time to time, that some things new appear and I only realize that they exists when a seller tries to make me buy that. At least, sometimes I can talk them in an equal position.
Most people I see, or have to give support to, really knows little about computers. I'm sure your case is not unique, but I think in fact it's the most common situation. One thing is sure. you'll not require to know the details of the inner workings of the PC to use them.

I can say that i have a moderate knowledge of computer. Everyday is a learning process for me still, as i try to discover by myself, what are the other ways i can make use of the computer with, other than surfing the net.
For the technicalities of the computer, at the office, i rely on our IT guy and at home for my nephew.

I guess I can be classified as a average user. I had my fair share of knowledge regarding computer software and hardware. Of course, I am more knowledgeable in Office application like any computer user, any complex and new computer system usually makes my brain throb horribly.
I don't know but I'm not really a techie. I can understand how everything works by reading manuals or tutorials but I don't have that natural gift of being curious when it comes to computers. Thankfully, I haven't run into complex troubleshooting becuase I have this worrywart state when something in my computer goes horribly wrong and I have no idea how to fix the problem.
I guess it depend son the person, whether they are willing to learn or not. Even computer technology is evolving very rapidly very fast nowadays that it seems that today's technology is tomorrow's antique.
