I have been surfing when this site caught my attention.

What a unique idea..bored with the old saree but yet the saree is doing fine ;) , lets get a makeover for a saree

Quite interesting. I will call and ask how much she charges and let me get my old sarees transformed to new one!

Thanks for the link, visited the site, really sarees were beautifully redesigned..
One of my friends make use of the borders of old "Kanchivaram" and "Banaras" silk sarees.Usually the Zari borders of these sarees will not fade even if saree get old.She stiches these borders to another plane saree in an arty manner.... and a new designer saree is ready to wear :)

Great way to use the old sarees. Some sarees we have in our cupboard and they are just piled up and lying there from years, now we know what to do to them :)

Inspired by this discussion, I bought a plane cotton kurtha from the near by bazzar, and done some simple lazy dazy embroidery on it.... one more addition to my ethnic collection. ;)
