leaving facebook for mylot a WISE choice

Philippines

I was quite a facebook addict before. I really hang out there a lot. I read posts and comments. I chat with my friends there. I could spend the whole time reading posts, update my status, and chat to a lot of my friends that are also facebook addicts. But when I get to know mylot, I little by little was dragged more often here than in facebook. And now I realized, I haven't been so much active on facebook nowadays like before, and I spend most of my time here in mylot. I began to love mylot, and i left facebook for it. Well, I didn't regret it. For how many months have I been using facebook but haven't got any single payment from them. While mylot already paid me. In short, it's a wise choice. Whatya think lotters?

I agree with you on that. In fact, I too, spend more time here in mylot reading and responding on discussions. I find mylot more entertaining for me because i can read and relate to a lot of topics. I'm not even thinking of the earning, i'm more into reading :)

Same here. I was a FB addict myself until someone introduced mylot to me. I'd play games even at work and read each of my friends posts/statuses. But now, I still go there just to receive updates on family and friends. I prefer mylot because of all the discussion and the earning, of course.

Ah yes, I used to play a lot there. Well, up to now, I still play there. But I don't stay that long. I love to hang out on mylot now than in facebook. And mylot discussions are more thought provoking and interactive than those statuses of facebook. :) How I wish I could drag down my friends on facebook in here... :)

Yeah, me, too. I've invited a few of my close friends there. One accepted, but is not really participating. The others, I don't know if they even looked at my link. I put in some words so it was a legit link from me, but, I don't know. You're right, there are a lot of thought-provoking discussions here.

Ah yes, it's hard for me to convince them that it's actually paying. And they don't get it when I say, I can transfer my money online directly to my bank account. They sort of laugh at the idea. But because we're friends, they'll just keep their silence. :)

Even though I come in mylot I still like FB since I can catch up with old classmates there that I haven't seen or heard from in years. I don't have the time I used to for FB far as for the games. I like mylot because it's a forum and is a different kind of social site as well a place to earn money.

I agree a lot of things are going on in FB. Only thing is mylot don't have games like fb and you can't connect with old friends on here. On the upside on mylott it is a prety good forum/social site.

We have different likes and dislikes, your friends in facebook may not be your friends in mylot. And the way you interact to see the activities of your known friends, families and relatives in Facebook is far different here in mylot, although as you work in mylot is also addictive. You need Facebook too to introduce Mylot there so as to widen the scope of your favorite Mylot. You see socializing is one way to broaden your interaction most especially if you have something that can help you in earning money aside from having so much friends. So welcome all.

Yes you have a point. Now I might use facebook for mylot marketing, that way there would be a possibility that my friends in facebook could become my friends here in mylot. And it's a whole lot of fun. Great idea! :)

There is always good for all things started and do not just leave it that way because the number of members in facebook is absolutely amazing.

If you did it because of earning payment, you've made right decision because facebook is just a kind of social network and didn't pay. But so far, I do both. I enjoy facebook and need it because I want to make a network to publish some article I wrote. For that aims, facebook is very help that I can't leave it. While mylot I get paid for share or start discussion but I can't publish my article that especially wrote in Indonesia. But actually, I love both site

Ah, not just because of payment, well it's one of the reasons but the most highlighted reason is that it's very much entertaining for me than facebook now. On facebook I use to play games there and all, but at the end of the day I don't get anything from it. While here in Mylot, I could read informative and intelligent posts where I could also share my views and most often get enlightened by other people's ideas. Such a great site for an exchange of views and ideologies... :)

the only difference is: in FACEBOOK there is no forums, no discussion like this, no earnings, as well as you cannot increase your knowledge....
• Philippines

@mantis - yes, facebook is more a lot of connecting with friends and all. But knowledge? I doubt it. There are a lot of silly posts there, so not worth our time to read... @flagaz - yes, it's just for fun and at the end of the day, you'll get nothing for yourself. While mylot gives you fun and exciting experience of posting and responding discussions...

Hi chuyins123, there isn’t any sites yet that I come across so far would engage my interest to visit them frequently, like what I like to do here in mylot. That’s why I’m not active in fb. I’m more addicted to discussion forum where we always have interesting topics to discuss with friends here. moreover it’s joyous as well to see our posts are awarded though it’s so wee at least it’s better than working for nothing. Happy posting

hi chuyins I could write a small book about how much I enjoy mylotting as this elderly lady was so sick of retirement and not much money and too much time on my hands. I was used to doing something worthwhile, helping other people, anything to make me feel less like a used up old lady. so I was on the net poking around three years ago , found mylot and wo here I am. At first I was just thinking of money but now i have made friends all over the world and the money is just the icing of mylot cake.the friendships I have made here and what I have shared has been worth much more than just money. I am a happy camper here on mylot.I also have an account with facebook mostly because my son has one there but I love mylot even better.

Wow, it'd be great. I would love to read even just the synopsis. :) with the number beside your username here I could say, you totally enjoyed being here... I am way too far from that number. LOL. But I will get there. Soon. LOL. I was in a lot of networking sites before too, but was sort of addicted to facebook before. Then mylot came in the scene, and it snatched me from there. :)

I go back and forth between the two. I love that mylot does compensate me for having discussions. Facebook does not and I don't think they ever will. But Facebook has so many games that I have grown to love. It is a hard choice sometimes!

Just like me. I was so addicted with their games before but I got bored after a couple of months constantly playing, maybe because Mylot also came in the way, offering me much enjoyable activities... :) Reading, posting and responding to discussions is quite entertaining... :)

Hi. chuyins123. I have to give you a Hi Five on this discussion! I have enjoyed being here at myLot more than I could ever enjoy being on Facebook. I write here as much as I can. It is fun. I love to communicate with many people from around the world at myLot. The members here, never act stuck up like they do on Facebook. Everyone on here, enjoys communicating and expressing their feelings. It is just awesome and amazing how myLot makes me feel when I log onto this site everyday. MyLot will always have my first vote over Facebook any day now!

Hi there, yes indeed, leaving facebook for mylot is a great move. i was pretty addicted to facebook before, oh well, i am still right now but not as much as before... I always check latest updates, read and make comments, play playfish games, etc.... however, i have realized that it is kind of waste of time... i would rather focus on making money online specially now that i take medicines for my ailment. mylot is a great avenue to make real cash online and it is also the best place to exercise your reading and writing skills. i adore mylot. i wouldn't trade it to any other sites out there.

i believe there are a lot of us that has moved on from being fb addicts and become practical and come here in mylot. At first i was hesitant because i did not know any person here but later on i have realized it is fun here because there are many people that can share views and knowledge. Right now, I log on to mylot and stay here more than in fb :)

Yes, I still do log in on facebook because some of my contacts are there. But I don't hang out in there that much. I spend much of my online time here on mylot and doing my blogs. :) It's great though that mylot would pay me for something I really want and already doing... :)

Just post and respond here in accordance to the guidelines. Mylot only deletes responses and posts which violates their rule. They closely monitor our posts here so we have to adhere... To know more about the guidelines visit it here: http;//www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx I have posts here that were deleted. But I don't hold any angst on mylot admin as they're just doing their job. Enjoy your stay here in mylot! This is a great site! :)

It sure is a very smart choice. I congratulate you for that move. As for me, I still am active in facebook since it is one of our means of communication with my bf who is in another country. But I inform him that I also have to be here on mylot because I really love this site. I love interacting here and learning here is fun as well. For me, both are very important to me as of now. Good thing my bf supports me being always online here. Although I really don't post or comment everyday because I do have work and I can only mylot when im at work.

Thank you for that my friend. Yes, it's one way to reach out our long lost friends and relatives. We just got connected through facebook. Ah just like me, I don't really post much here everyday. Neither do I comment on a lot of discussions everyday. I am also working. But I enjoy every time I hang out in here... Some discussions are worth reading, and they are entertaining. It's a great choice to be with Mylot. :)

Well, I think that as a social network, even if Facebook doesn't pay, it overcomes MyLot. I think you should stay in the social network that you like the most, as it's your free time and you have the right to choose how to use it wisely, but in my case I think I can use both, and so I am doing. MyLot is good for some things that Facebook isn't, and vice-versa, so I don't feel the need to choose

Well, you have the same point with one of the comments above. I am glad to know that you managed to be hanging around in both sites. As for me, I stick to mylot more than there on facebook. And I have hopes that this site will improve more in the coming days. :) We as users could be of help to make this site known more than facebook. :)

Good decision my dear friend. It's much better to stay in mylot where you can air your grievances, get sound advice and the nicest part is that you get paid for everything that you do here and get extra bonuses in the form of rewards when you use the search engine. I have held myself back from my addiction to facebook over a year ago especially in playing their games as i'm not gaining anything there at all. I got hooked to spending too much time on browsing, reading and at the same time got caught in a childish fight among friends which i didn't like at all and which was the main reason i left facebook, though once in a while i take a peep. You've made the right decision and i'm happy that you did that.

Same with me my friend. I was too addicted with Mafia Wars in their before. though I still maintain my mafia wars account there, but don't care much about it now. Unlike before, I would wait for hours just to have another energies etc... And I realized I am not gaining anything.... While staying here in mylot makes me know some of the current events, voice out freely my grievances, and yeah meet new people who became my real friends like you... This is a real great site for interaction, discussion and earning. ALL in ONE! :) Glad to have you here around. :)

Hi there, I use Facebook to remain updated with my friends only. I don't post that many photos or do any status updates. I have spent over four hours on MyLot already today. I don't even give half an hour to Facebook. This shows that i am already addicted to Mylot. It's good that you don't regret leaving Facebook. MyLot indeed is a great site for fun, knowledge as well as some earning! Happy Mylotting!
