I am very fond of dancing. I never miss Dancing with the stars and all other dancing shows. When i was a kid, i wished to become a Choreographer. I would always run upto my mom and tell her 'mom, i am going to be a DANCE TEACHER one day' ...And my mom would be like "hun, you should become a doctor, engineer, pilot or accountant some day NOT a dancer". I would argue with her for hours on this matter. I was so passionate about dancing!
Now that I am all grown up, I still love dancing but i didn't become a dancer instead as mom said i became an accountant! But i still follow dance..I love dancing at parties, with my hubby..It still is something i enjoy doing but didn't choose as a career!
Did you all have something that you were passionate about as a child or even now? Did you pursue your career in that field or not?

Wow, I am an accountant too my friend.
Back in highschool I know my career would be in an office. Not on stage or dance floor. Though there's still something I want to do, public speaking. Which I think I could still do, but I still don't have the resources and the avenue.
I like talking in public, I always fancy myself speaking in front of thousands of people. Haha I am that ambitious. . .
Back in High school, I do oration and little debates. I also like every reporting requirements in college. I feel hyped up in front of many people...:)

Hi Chuyins, Public Speaking is such a daring thing to do. When i take the stage, i totally fumble with the words and get nervous. I absolutley admire people who go to the stage and speak their heart out!
I hope you will get a chance in future to show your talent!
Good Luck!

Thank you for such warm wishes my friend. It's great to be a public speaker. And just a few minutes ago, I was invited for a Toastmaster's meeting! Wow! is this a sign? LOL.
About you dancing, what sort of dancing do you do? :)

I really admire you. It's great that you have passion about something and want to do it. Although you did not choose it as a career, at least you are still dancing at times now. I too, like dancing. I took it up as my activity in high school.
however, that short amount of dance is not taking me anywhere. I am very interested in signing up for a dance course. However, i feel the pinch whenever i think of the money I have to spend.
It's good to have a dream at least you ahve something to live for. Better than without goal.

Thanks dream! Its great to know that you are willing to take dance classes. It indeed requires money and time which people don't have enough these days! However, i hope you'll make it someday!

It's your life. Do not let anyone crush your dreams. I hate it when people try to tell others what they should do in life. I am a dance teacher for 38 years and I love what I do, and do it well. I am paid much more, per hour, than most jobs.
Okay, not as much as a doctor, but success, to me, is doing what you love and getting paid for it.

Hi Sweetme, I can understand how much passionate you had for dancing. I had passion for an astronaut. Though i have the passion still but I couldnot pursue. But my hubby takes me to space centers and i would spend time with talking to the great people. It matters how much we passion, though even we don't shine in that career!Cheers!

I was never into dancing as a kid. But my mom forced me to go take dance lessons. Now I'm really glad that I took them lessons coz I can dance freely anywhere and I'm not shy or self conscious or whatever . Now I do love dancing and dance every chance I get
As a child I had passions for many things and it kept changing. I was into singing (which I still am) and into arts and crafts a lot. Though I didn't draw good, I used to make things. Like knitting and making dolls and stuffs. I enjoy doing it to this day too. I still don't have a career as of now, still a student. But I would love to be a singer plus dancer someday.

My mom loves knitting. I absolutely adore the sweaters she has knitted for me. I think knitting requires a lot of skill and focus. I am glad to know that you are willing to become a singer. I hope that you achieve your goals in future!

hello. After reading your writing.what a pity that you can not become a dancing teacher.Perhaps you can achieve your dream without your mom's pressure. But you should remember every parents in the world all like their children. What they do is to help you get happier. In this section, you should respect them.As you said, the career that they want you to be we can easily find that is a high salary job. Also it is stable. As far as I know the dancing teacher is in low salary.Maybe we should be reality.A happy life need money also. There are many examples that someone give up his dream because of money. For instance,I want to be a singer, but it is difficult for me to be.For many reasons.I have no money and familiar people in this fields.I feel so depressed the other day.But my mom told me you can be a engineer which is she experted me to.Once I also argue with her by this issue. But now I realize that I am wrong.Of course she is right. So I am also happy for you to be a accountant now.But you still can take dancing for a habit. When the chance comes, you will be a dancing teacher. Please wait for the opportunity.Hope you to finish your dream soon!

Well, good luck with being a dance teacher. You'll be successful. Just be yourself, create new dance moves and teach me one cause I also want to be a dance star or similar. Hehe

hmm. excuse me for this, but first of all I'd like to ask, are you a girl or a boy? Haha, just curious. From your username, girl, I assume? :) Anyway, do you know who Shaun Evaristo is? Answer and I'll share something really really special to you. ^_^
