My girlfriend want to come to mylot,but her English is not good.

Only English words are allowed here. If ever it is allowed, how the heck do other mylotters from other countries participate in your discussions? Anyway kidding aside, I agree that english is a very useful language. It is widely used here in the internet. Mylot is not strict in the implementation of english grammar. What's important is you get to relay your idea about the topic. You should encourage her to participate more often. This is a good avenue wherein she can practice and hone her english. That is one of my reasons for joining this site too. I am trying to hone my english because I am trying to become a good writer. Happy mylotting!

There is no problem about that. The important thing is that your girl friend know basic English. Because here is not a place to correct her but for her to learn...If she kept on login in here and makes her best. I think she learn a lot and educate to speak English better...

well when i first started mylot was grammar was the worst. but slow i think i have improved it in and learning everyday encourage her to use mylot and slowly she would be good at it mylot is a very understanding community and we would be more than happy to see here mylotting and learning English at the same time

Hi,my friend!I think most of Chinese here at myLot can earn just a little,but myLotting can really help your girlfriend to improve her English if she can keep on typing discussions or responses.So as her boyfriend,you'd better encourage and help her to go on typing in English. As all I know,it's not allowed to type something in Chinese here at myLot.

tell her to try some language translation software such as babylon etc, but look at me i am too weak in English too, by writing and discussing here , i have improved my English a lot,

She could start by answering a few simple posts. Many foreign friends use my lot and other such sites to improve their English skills.

myLot is the best training ground for her to learn English. Several myLotters who started posting was very poor in English but with their constant posting they are now improving. No one will criticize you if your English is poor. The member who will do it will be warning and maybe will be ban from the site. Encourage your girlfriend to continue participating here. She will learn day by day by reading members response and discussions. Hope it will help to here

You should encourage her to try learning some english. In fact, I'd be more than happy to meet your girlfriend, you can say that to her by the way. Tell her to use her singed up account and chat to me. There are other users here as well who'd be more than happy to meet with her and make her happy, I'm sure.

No way she can't write Chinese here, just English for everything is the only allowed language. But maybe it's a good chance for her to learn somewhat of English, she may start reading a lot of post and trying to answer a little, perhaps with the help of some online translator. MyLot is not that demanding and there is no problem if the post are not perfect, as long as they are understandable by most members.

So what, encourage her and I am sure she will be able to write at least some meaningful English sooner or later.

It's so sad that she gave up,I think Mylot.com is a great way for people who don't know english. they can ask help for and others can help them to learn english.

I think it would be better for her to try. As time goes by, she will improve her skills in writing. If you want, you can also try some translation tools. However, some tools are not 100% accurate in translating. But then again, I still suggest to write English on her own and not depend on tools if ever she tries it. It's a good practice to write. It will even boost her confidence.

well its is kida hard for her but still if she really want to be a mylot blogger she will had to yake a effort to study in english first because as i observe english is the main laguage here at my lot ,she need to study first the english languge then she an gave her best comment when she can write and understand a english language,, thank you we love you both good luck

MyLot only allows you to post in English. In fact, if you type in anything other than Roman characters, it posts as a series of question marks. Encourage your girlfriend to learn English. It is one of the most useful languages to know if you want to use the Internet (though I know that there are many Chinese websites, of course).

qianlzhifeng hi no mylot requires all of us to use English as they have no one there to translate.but most Chinese who have English as a second language do post here and at first its hard but you would be amazed at the progress they make.She would do better to just try out typing English here as she is among friends and we will not make fun of 'her or chastise her for errors. tell her to work slowly but keep 'doing it as this is the way most chinese here really learn the English language through trying to post to others. we are not to make fun of errors but to help in anyway we can.so good luck to your girl friend and tell her we will welcome her if she comes here.

Mylot is a very understanding community for the most part. Most mylotters would be willing to help your friend with her English. IT's a great place to practice and it's pretty safe. But I know it must be difficult to try to contribute to many conversations without fully understandin the languge.

Chinese letters aren't allowed her. Just English. It's so sad that she gave up so easily. There are people are on here that aren't good at writing in English either, but they try and most people can understand them. And if someone can't understand them, they'll usually ask them to rephrase it or something and most people would gladly do it.
