If it will put you in danger better not to speak. Instead, much better if you leave the company. It happened already to my case before and I didn't hesitate to leave because it put me in danger and my family. Sometimes we need to make a decision even it means a great loss to our part. If you are worried about your position, you can still find it in other company than you loss your life.

Do you mean you were asked to help sack people and refused? I agree that if you're working for a big company then you are not in a good position to fight back, the best thing is probably to cut your losses and start looking for other jobs. Do you have a colleague who can give you a reference if you have to leave? The other thing to do is start keeping a written record of ways in which your management are pressuring you so that for example if they try to fire you for misconduct or something else that might affect your getting another job, you have a case for support.

hi kaineyb well you know you are making the right decision so stck to it but also start looking for a job with a company not haveing these evil wasy of ditching their employees. So they are big so are y ou inside as you did the right thing. its easy to just go alolng with them and their mean ways but you knew better and you wou ld not do wrong. so go get a much better job then hand in your resignation and work the obligatorey two weeks and then its farewell, adios, good bye.Are there some sort of labor relations board like we have here in the US where you could report this bunch of upper management jerks? If so have them keep your nanme ouf of it but go to them with documented evidence of what they are doing.

Who is he going to go off on one with? If it is you then forget it but if it is these managers then go for it.
They are really endangering your job with their actions at the end of the day let alone the companies future. If anyone can prove that they have been fired unlawfully or victimised then you are all for the rollocking.
I would write an e-mail from this perspective. That you are looking out for the long term future of the company. It is the MD at the end of the day who is in the firing line if things go wrong in a company and hopefully he is wise enough to appreciate this.
Other than that then I think I would be looking at whoever deals with employment law in this country, but that puts you in the firing line because no one likes a whistle blower.
Saying that isn't there something like a whistle blower site somewhere?
I know it is not easy to find another job in this country these days but if none of this appeals or applies then it is still the best option.
I do think you are made of sterner stuff. Just remember to be fair in your comments and not to victimise anyone. Most of all be positive in your e-mails and offer solutions if you can rather than just give negatives.

Hi Kaineyb, Its not like employees cannot fight back against employers if something is really unreasonable. I am not sure of UK, but any country will have some basic rules and laws. So if you can few friends collect them and ask your rights via law. Job is important, but same time dont give up your genuine rights.

Big compay means big politics! So, you'd better play on their trems or it would cost you too. Just analize people who are continuously not performing good and make a list and give it to youe managment. Atleast that's what i wouold have done if i were in your position. See, the fact is that good companies do not want to pay employees who are not performing well, rather than that they can hire new people who would be able to give in that extra bit of work and responsibility.

Must be the effect of recession. Ive heard it has been rampant in Europe lately. They wouldnt be sacking people if they were meeting the targets and budgest and all that stuff. Was your company doing good or is it losing?
