i have been blessed that i havent had the need yet to call local emergency hotlines like 911 but sometimes i wonder, if there will come a time that i need to, are they really helpful and efficient? Do rescue people really come to your aid or help immediately and are your calls really answered urgently? I have heard some experiences when people would call firemen hotline numbers during fire incidents but sometimes these calls are not acted upon immediately and sometimes it would take long before they would actually come to your rescue..

Our local hotline for help was not effective at all and. Most who tried to call the number was not even helped. The hotline sucks and it sure was a failure. One tv station even had tried to document this complaint and when they called the hotline there are kids answering as if the number was a residential one.

that is really too bad.. emergency numbers should always be treated urgent and important because lives may be at stake.. i think the local government should take this seriously and try to improve; otherwise, people will not have someone to call during emergencies.
