What is the connection between meditation and health?

It is said that meditation can create relaxation. It improves physical, mental and social health. It is also said that meditation also helps in resolving problems, giving such a power to man. I wonder what is the power in meditaion? Can observing silence for a certain period will give the man this kind of power? How it is true?

meditation leads to self realization.It stops you from reacting. It facilitates solutions. Meditation leads to thoughtlessness.One becomes more natural, peaceful,compassionate, harmonious,wise and loving.
If you achieve thoughtlessness whenever you meditate you will start to receive blessings in whatever you do. The process is gradual and strong.
Surrender to the divine and your divinity will be revealed to you.

Meditation is very healthy. It brings attention to the moment, grounds us, keeps us in the now. It's wonderful. It makes us realize that every moment in life is wonderful and no moment is better or worse than the last.

Mental and physicals aspects of health are truly connected to each other. the union betwwn them is stronger than we can ever know. Meditation can be the key to opening the door to healing. It has more power than some of the strongest medicines.

Well, you said it. Meditation causes relaxation. Relaxation, then, causes relief of stress. Stress is important to pull out of our system because it's like a blockage in it. We need to remove the blockage in order for us to operate efficiently like, for example, when we're working overtime. Another example is when we're all stressed out and we're already driving home. We could disassociate ourselves while we're on the road and get our vehicle totaled which, in turn, could injure us. If we know how to meditate, we can prevent that from happening. That's another way of saying meditation can improve health.

I guess it relaxes your muscles, so the tension in them melts away. It also makes your mind focused and so when you're thinking clearly, you get less stressed.

Meditation really guides your mind into a calm state. Nowadays people get stressed easily, so meditation can cure it or prevent it. About the inner power, it's up to your belief.
