Weddings in church

My friend invited me to her weddings and it will be in lutheran church. It will be in august (then will be hot here) and until that date i need to find what i want to wear. I have never been in chuch before, so i dont know what i can wear and what i cant. I want wear cute dress, but i dont know from what i need to avoid when ill choose dress. Oh, and i forgot to mention that ill be there just as guest.
So, yes, maybe any of you know something about it..
Please give me advice, from what i need to avoid when choosing dress if i need go to lutheran church to weddings(as guest)?

Any dress that would keep you comfortable would do but make sure that it is not so revealing. Remember that you're going to a church. If you want, you could also ask your friend for the motif of her wedding. This would give you an idea what theme of the wedding is so you could use that as basis for the dress that you're gonna buy.

You're English is not bad, so no need to apologize for that. Anyway, you may ask your friend on what the dress code is. You can even ask what their motif is so even if you are only a guest you still fit in. don't try wearing too daring clothes though, try wearing something that looks good on you and something that you feel comfortable of wearing the whole ceremony.

oh, it mean i dont will can look for sexy dress, what a pity, but actually weddings isnt for sey dresses so its ok :)

Ask your friend what the dress code is. I've never been to a Lutheran church or ceremony. Some religions you have to cover your arms or head in a church not sure if that's the case for Lutheran. Most of the time in a church you are supposed to dress up. Men will wear suits or a nice shirt and tie and dress pants. Women can wear suits or dresses or a nice pants suit. Think about how you would dress for a job interview and that would be how you would dress for a church wedding. A nice dress or suit would be appropriate.

I asked to her, she said that there isnt anything specially from what i need to avoid, just dont wear very sexy mini dress :)) I thought maybe there is dress code in lutheran church like u said cover arms, sholders, and so on :) But i think maybe its not so crazy and i just need nice dress, and avoid from black color (i heard before that in weddings need avoid from black and white color(cos bride wear white) dresses
