Starting a Whole Brand New Life!

There are times in life that we realize our mistakes that we have been doing our whole life and then we just wake up and say to ourselves, "Okay, it's a brand new day and it's the perfect time to start my whole new life!"
Then as the day goes by, we find ourselves doing those same wrong things again that we just swore that morning not to do, and we say "Maybe I'll change tomorrow"... but the problem is this happens every day and that every day has a tomorrow.
So guys, have you actually had this experience and in what aspect of your life? I must say I'm having a hard time limiting my diet and exercising. That's a huge problem for me. Though I'm not really that fat but I need to lose some weight. What do you think are the best ways to push oneself to be determined to change certain things in life?

You know,it's always easier said than done. It's partly a matter of self-control,and partly a matter of personal circumstances.
Maybe instead of saying "Maybe I'll change tomorrow" we should say "I'll change right now."It's too easy to dream about tomorrow but too hard to focus on right now.Human nature.

In order to have a total change we should not just tell ourselves that tomorrow is a new day and I'll start everything right. I too made several mistakes again and again even though I even tried to change my environment. I realized that I just did that without facing the fact and correcting the mistakes, getting rid of the problem before moving on.
Now what do I mean by this? If you want to change, don't start without solving the main issues first. With diet, for example, check what's inside your refrigerator, buy healthy food, make a budget, write down your nutritional diet and post it on your ref or on your mirror. Look at yourself in the mirror and check what changes you want to see there. Face the truth and resolve it before moving on to a brighter new day.

the main thing for me is force myself to get out of my comfort zone to take such steps. then i keep the focus by limiting myself to those few things I want to achieve. also i don't get overwhelmed with greed and just focus on what i know i can achieve for that time period.

Fact is this, some things are supposed to be. You can't really change them. Although there are others that we can change, like for example, ourselves. If you see yourself not being too pleasant, you can always change your ways. Sometimes it's enough to change everything happening in your life.

Just like you, i need to go back on exercising again. I haven't exercised again for more than one month and my tummy has been protruding again.
I am determined to exercise again and lose the protruding stomach. Tomorrow after office will be the best time. I just hope my boss will not let me work after dismissal though.

I say we don't have to wait for this day to be over so we can start to change ourselves for the better. Procrastination is a big obstacle as I have experienced. It delays the results of your plans. Time is gold as the adage always tells us.

I always believe in the saying 'slow and steady wins the race'. Any change cannot be achieved overnight. I was addicted to tv serials but one fine day I decided to give up but I do watch here and there occasionally and hope to give up totally. I remember my husband wanted to give up smoking and he too did it in stages.
