Disgusting BROWNOUT!!

an hour ago whilst myLotting and downloading music then suddenly..swoossshhh!..a damn Brownout came, all the stuff that I did were all gone in a flash which made me wobbling in anger..fortunately when the brownout ended, I was able to restore all the stuff I did..but that experience is very awful and disgusting, isn't it?..Did this happened to you at least once before? what was your reaction then and how do you deal with it when it happens to you..Share what you have there..

it happened to me before..it usually happens to me when im making my projects and homework..
I always forget to save the changes i made in whatever im making..in my case, im doing websites and codings..some softwares doesnt allowed users to restore the stuffs i made. thats why when a brownout came, its really a SWOOOOSHHHHHH! need to start all over again..,

I guess you both have to learn to hit that button. Once it becomes a habit, you won't even notice. You just hit the save button after a paragraph.

AT our place too, specially at night, it would always have a brown out. Though it is only for 5 to 10 minutes, it catches us off guard.
Just last Saturday night, just as i was frying fish, the lights suddenly went off - Brown out! OMG , good thing, i know where the candle and the match is. I walked in the dark into them and was able to light a candle. Good thing, i have just put the fish into the pan, so it didn't burn.

good thing you came back for it right away or else the rodents would have feasted over the pan..lol..they're becoming too clever nowadays. lol
I wish someone in our place could just inform or warn us if there's an incoming brownout so that we can prepare.

I have experienced this many time already. Most of the time I am working so it really is disgusting when I am doing something with regards to work and there is no way for me to save it for the database won't allow you to save every now and then. So I have to save one that is already complete and then suddenly the power went out. Gone are all the things you are doing, dang..! And you can't do anything since it's nobody's fault. So I have to do it again when the power is back.

Oh, so sorry to hear that! That has happened to me a lot in the past. So, I learned from my lesson well. Now, everytime I do something, I save and save. Sad thing though with downloading songs, you just have to do it again.

yeah..as u said, I did it again. Brownouts are just too unpredictable. I do hope I learned my lesson today. lol

Yes. That can be soooo frustrating. Especially if you've typed so much and poof! it's gone. Luckily, programs such as word for instance, saves periodically so when there is a sudden power outage, you will be able to restore at least part of what you've already typed. But still...
A few days ago, I was composing an email that I'll send to a friend. My internet was off at the time so I decided to type it temporarily in notepad. I thought I'll just copy paste it into may email later on... but then all of a sudden there was a brownout!! And I was using notepad, not Word. And notepad does not have a restore feature... =(

oh dear!you must have been very upset. i did have the same experience. that's why i prefer using my laptop, rather than the desk top. it's really an imperative to have a back-up battery just in case. just like in life, we do not know what really happens ahead. so when we plan, it is really a must to have a back up plan, just in case.
