The battle of changing bed sheets

I like changing my sheets at least every 3 weeks sometimes after 2 weeks depending on how dirty and sweaty, smelly they get.
Every time I change them my honey goes "Why are you changing the sheets already?"
If it was up to him he'll change them every couple month .
What's your take on this and don't you love sleeping on fresh , clean sheets?

Bed sheet can be a tangled mess to get involved n. Chasnging bed sheets csn sometimes be more of a chore and a task than we care to take on. It seems that the closer the bed is to the walll, the more cumnersome changing sheets can be . sometimes even the kinds of sheets and size of the bed csn make a difference in changing the sheets.

I like to go to bed freshly showered and clean so of course my sheets don't get very grotty, so yeah, my sheets don't need changing too often although now I'm older, my skin is very dry and I notice it flakes off and accumulates down the end of the bed. The only thing to do is to strip the bed and take the sheets outside and shake them - from there, it's just as easy to wash them as it is to put them back.
One of the best things is life is to climb into a freshly made bed. It's heavenly.

I change them about once a month sometimes more often. As my hubby has a thing for wearing his uniform to bed when he's tired and I hate it, so if he won't listen to me and does it anyway it makes more work for me having to change everything.

It really is a pain to change the bedding. Not my favorite chore that's for sure

I change mine every week, more often in very hot weather. I live and sleep alone so it's only my own dirt that gets on them, although I'm not dirty lol. I'd feel uncomfortable if I left sheets on the bed for more than a week. Also, frequent washing of bedding helps keep dust mites away.

Good point...I didn't even think about dust mites or bed bugs

hello missy,
During this summer,i always changed the beddings once a week,or sometimes just few days depending on the weather, since the hotter the kids gets more sweaty and they want their bed sheets to be fresh always.
But when it is rainy, once a week is fine or maybe twice a month.
have a great weekend

Our bedding is in the wash right now. Even the comforter. It just was time. It has been about three weeks, I think.

I'm to lazy to change them once a week and that would mean I have to do more laundry cause I only have so many sheets

It never occurs to hubby that the sheets need changing. If I had my way it would be once a week. He does a lot of the work though. If I have the clean sheets he makes the bed and does a great job of it.

Hi. missybear. I like for my bed sheets to be fresh and clean too. I don't like to smell smelly sheets at all. If we had a washing machine and dryer in my home, I would probably wash my bed sheets every week. But unfortunately my bed sheets don't get washed every week, but every two to three weeks.

I love fresh clean sheets. I think you change them about the same that we do here. There are people that are comfortable with leaving them on a while longer and if it were just me in that bed...maybe a little longer..but anyway..I am thinking that is about right for changing sheets.

It is a nice feeling to sleep on clean, crisp and tightly spread bedsheets and I do change them as often as I can. I love the smell of clean linen. The cold clean pillow is a sure sleep inducer.

i think 2 weeks is a good time between changing the sheets. Sometimes I wait 3 just because I'm lazy

When to change the sheets is perhaps just a preference for many so no rule really. Here at home we do change them every few days. Simply because both of us do laundry and so enjoy crawling into bed in nice clean sheets.
So sometimes I pull them off right when I am doing laundry and or he does. So just a preference on our end.

If I had my own washer and dryer I might change them weekly too but I have to go out to do laundry and that's a pain in the butt

i had never thought of the concept of changing bedding. i guess i have got accustomed to the crustiness and aroma, almost like a security blanket.
my wife trys to change the sheets weekly but i padlock the bedroom door, that also helps to keep the flies in.
i wonder if this novel idea of changing bedding can be applied to my underwear?
