The last time i received a bouquet of flowers is on October 2009. It was from my husband who is my boyfriend that time. The flowers he gave me were actually expensive because he bought it from a well known shop. I was really greatful, but i was more concern on the amount of the flower. I said to him that i appreciate his thoughtfullness, but next time don't give me flowers anymore because they will just dry up in time, instead he could just give me other things that i can use and will last. Since then, he never gave me flowers and I'm okay with it anyway :)

Last flowers I received was from a secret a year ago. It was on a valentines day and it felt a little awkward because my friends were teasing me all day and I don't like the attention.
But I was thankful of the gesture. It was a sweet thought.

Yeah, sometimes you feel uneasy when you have flowers and others are teasing you. I also had the same experience and what i did, i gave one rose to each of my friends so all of us has one. :)

I must confess that I totally forget about giving my wife flowers since the day she became my wife! What a shame! This doesn't mean I don't love her anymore, just because ... hix I don't know why! I am going to change this. Thank you for your reminder.

I have pretty much the same attitude you do about flowers, but my hubby gives them to me every once in awhile anyway. That's fine and I really do appreciate the thought. Sometimes it's nice to receive something a little frivolous. The last time he gave me flowers was for Valentines Day this year. They were really pretty and lived for about 3 weeks.

I basically said the same thing to my husband after he had given me flowers once. So the one and only time he did was back when he was my boyfriend...19 years ago! LOL
And like you, I'm okay with it. I don't need to be showered with flowers from my hubby. I'd much rather use the money for something practical instead.
As for the last time I received flowers, it was 2 or 3 years ago. I had gotten them as a birthday gift from one of my cousins. I haven't received any flowers since...with the exception of my youngest after he picks them from the yard, that is.
Happy mylotting!

Though you told you do not want flowers --you want bouquets. Normally women like flowers. In India giving bouquet is high class culture. Middle class and poor people - we buy flowers in very small quantities and give to our very close people or present to the temples. Last time I received flowers -- was a garland on my 60th birth day a year back and before that nine years ago when I took VRS in farewell party.
have a good day

I don't want flowers. To me they symbolize a fake apology. Before I got with my guy I thought because of this fact , I couldn't be romantic. In fact I was told that My reaction to flowers would stunt my lovers romantic gestures. Well, They were wrong. My guy thinks I'm very romantic and... don't tell me G-d doesn't have sense of humor! My guy Loves flowers . So I'm the one who sends flowers to him!

I actually got flowers for Mother's day. My daughter's boyfriend got me some. And my daughter knows how much I like lilacs and she brought me home some one evening after her walk. I agree about the flowers just dying. It is sort of sad if you think about though you know. Part of the circle of life.

I never received any bouquet of flowers before. I know I am not pretty so there is nobody who would wish to give me one..haha. Anyway, my first ever bf and hopefully my last never gave me one for I really don't want him to give me any. You have a point, flowers really don't last long and end up being thrown and it costs a lot. The thought of being able to receive it is very sweet though but it really won't last long. I was only given by my bf flowers from the garden of the community we had our immersion with when we were still studying. It was even sweeter since he didn't bought it and really asking the owners to have one flower so he could give it to me. to think we were not in any relationship that time and everything between us was only a joke. I kept one flower and let it dry. Kept it in my diary and forever remembering the story behind it.

the thought of him asking the permission of the owner is very sweet... it's really an effort. A dried flower on a diary???? I had one as well when i was in high school :)

When a suitor is giving me, it's feels good and i don't think of the money spent on it, but when it's already a boyfriend who's giving me, i'm already concerned... Oh, I'm so bad i know... :)

Just this month. My 3 year old niece gave me a flower that she picked up on her way home from her summer class.
I forgot when I last received flowers from my husband. But it's okay if I don't receive any from him for now. Like you, I prefer something useful. But I am a softee. even flowers can make me cry a river. Just as they always say, it's the though that counts.

I thought it was last November, for my birthday, but my boyfriend insists he bought me flowers 'a couple of months ago'--guess they weren't all THAT memorable because neither of us can describe what they looked like! And prior to my birthday, it was exactly nine years prior--my mom brought me two dozen yellow roses for my 30th birthday.

For my birthday this year I got 6 red roses and it was delivered to my office and all the card said was Guess Who...of course my colleagues wanted to know if it was my husband that sent them, but alas no they were from a very special friend who had lost touch with me for over 8 years and we reconnected recently and he was sending me flowers ...my hubby was a good sport about it

The first time & most recent time I have ever recieved flowers from my husband was for mother's day. It was a great surprise because we usually do not have the money to get things like that. So when he came home after his shift and had the flowers I as excited. I even took pictures of them so I can remember how beautiful the flowers were.

The last time I received a bouquet of flowers was March 11, 2011. It was for my birthday and my friends bought me a bouquet of red roses. They said that since I don't have a boyfriend on my birthday, they decided that they are the ones who will buy me flowers. I was so touched that I almost cried and then I laughed. After that I got so embarassed. They gave it to me when we were on our way to a karaoke bar. The people who saw me with the bouquet of flowers kept greeting me Happy Valentine's Day. LOL.

The last time I got flowers from my husband was on Valentines Day this year. Before we got married I got flowers like once a month, but not the intricately arranged ones. We have the same view on getting more useful stuff instead of expensive flowers, but I don't mind getting a bunch of it once in a while.
