In a lifetime it is lovely to visit some other countries. My aunt hasn't ever been to any other country and I think she is missing out. One time a man asked if we wanted to win a trip to France. She said she would pay not to go which I thought was very funny. I live in Europe so I am close to other countries and airfares used to be quite cheap for me. I used to live nearer to the ferry port and busy airports which has many flights.
Have you been able to visit any other countries? If so which ones?
Which are the countries you wish to visit in your lifetime?

Hi maximax,
There are lots of constrains that prevents me from vising other countries. So far I have visited only Nepal and Myanmar.
Actually India has as many as six different countries touching the international border. They are - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar and China.
If wished I can easily cover these neighboring countries. And I am thinking of making it to.

Hi Krajibg. I am delighted to hear that you have been to Nepal and Myanmar. Bangladesh would be a lovely and cheap country to travel in. China would be an exciting place to visit. Bhutan is meant to be beautiful but very expensive. I hope that you get to visit some of your neighboring countries.

Now that's silly! Why would she not want to win a trip to France? Haha and and I have been able to visit a few countries not that many. I currently am in the Philippines but I have been to Japan and Singapore. Both are very nice countries to go to really! :D But I would really want to go to Italy, specifically Venice, I'd love to go to France, specifically Paris, Rome, Greece, London, US, and many many more. Hahhaa I just wanna visit every single country there is! :]

She really loves England and when I got back from my trip around the world she said I was either very brave or stupid. I think my aunt is scared because she can't imagine popping next door to France. It is lovely that you are currently in the Philippines. I so want to go there for island hopping and snorkeling. I hope that you will get to go to France, Italy, Greece and the USA. Happy traveling.

Oh, so you're located in England! That's nice! I heard it rains a whole lot there? Island hopping and snorkeling really is a nice thing to do in Philippines. It's mostly well known for their beaches anyway. The people here are also quite good in speaking English even if some of them are not educated that much they manage to be able to speak in English. Some even quite fluently.

I think now that the economy is bad and the prices of fuel going up, if one has the money to travel, go do it. Because you might not have a chance later on. I am glad that when my husband was alive, we were able to go to Alaska and that we had been to the States. Now I was born in Scotland and been to England and my family moved to Canada, but that does not count since I could not remember much about England except being scared by a snowman and beng on the top; bunk on the voyage over.
I do want to go to England and also to the Caribbean. ; WE almost had a chance to Florida, but my husband got als and was unable to travel. We won money to go, but could not. so now I have to save the money to go.

It is interesting to find out that you were born in Scotland. When being a child it is normal to be scared of some things like a snowman. The voyage over to Canada must have been a long one. I hope that you will get to visit England again and some of the Caribbean islands. Good luck with saving and I know what you mean about the economy being awful at the moment.

I've from Asia and have been only in places near my country. I've been in Hongkong, Schenzen and Macau (all in China), Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. I'm planning to go to Thailand some time soon but my ultimate dream is to go to Europe. It is quite expensive going there from here. I would love to go to England and Rome.

I have met Australians that have seen more of my home country than I have. In turn I have seen more of Australia than them. Some Japanese ladies asked which train would go to Ayers Rock at a suburban train station in Perth. The ticket seller told them to get a plane. When a person lives in a large country it can be worthwhile to go to other countries like hop over to New Zealand. I wish you good luck with seeing more of your home country.

I also think that the people who don't travel miss out on a lot of things. Some people can't afford to travel and I understand that, but I find it a little hard to understand people who don't want to travel or people who find travelling boring. I once talked to a Danish man who had the same opinion as your aunt. I asked him if he liked travelling and he said: "I have been to Sweden once, but I don't want to travel again, because I think that it is a complete waste of time"
I love travelling. I live in Europe and I have had the chance to visit most of the other European countries. I am very happy that I am able to visit many different countries without travelling very far, and I think that is one of the big advantages about living in Europe. In the future I would like to visit Asia, Africa and the US. There are so many interesting places in this world, and I think that every country has something to offer. It is very hard for me to pick the countries that I want to visit, because there are so many beautiful and interesting countries to choose from. If I could I would travel around the world

I traveled to a place in Indonesia just 4 hours traveling distance from Singapore and the people were very poor. They have no hope of visiting Singapore and it is such an exciting city. It is such a shame when more wealthy people find traveling to other countries boring like the Danish guy you once chatted to. I loved visiting Stockholm and the train journey up to Narvik was stunning.
In Europe there are many countries and some of them are quite small. I was able to visit Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia on the same trip. When I was a student I spent one semester studying in the Netherlands. It was excellent to live in mainland Europe. I was able to hop over to Germany and down to Luxembourg.
I hope that you will be able to travel around the world. On your way you could go to the USA, Asia and Africa. Yes, there are so many different countries to choose from.

Hi maximax!
I think it's really nice if we can go to different countries and experience their culture. I'm here in Singapore now and it's my first time to be out of my home country and it's totally a different experience for me. Singapore is so different from my home country and I just wish my country is as clean, discipline and organized as Singapore. The only downside here is that the cost of living is high and goods are expensive. But they say that if you work in Singapore, you can afford the cost of living here. Of course.
Anyway, I went here because there was an opportunity but Singapore is not actually the topmost country that I want to visit. It's actually Japan. I have always wanted to go there but going there is much more expensive than going here in Singapore.
Cheers.

I do like to travel, and I have been fortunate enough to visit a few other countries.
Because I live in Texas, you would think I'd've been to Mexico, and I have, but only just across the border and only twice. I would love to see some of the ruins there, but because of my allergies I've been reluctant to even do too much research on it.
I've been to Canada, but only the very far western edge of it, and I liked it so much that when I got the opportunity to do it again, I jumped at it!
I've also been to England, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France, but only a few cities in each, London, Vienna, Rome, Zurich and Paris. I liked London so much I went back twice.
I would love to return to Italy, but don't foresee it.
However, I've seen a good bit of the U.S. and that, in many ways, is like visiting different countries, because the geology is so different in the different places.

before my desire to go into other countries was so strong that I would be dreaming most of the time of being in some other countries . although there's no possibility I can do that. but for now, I have stopped dreaming about that. I just want to be thinking of things what I can do to improve my life

Dear maximax8,
I truly agree with you, we should venture out
and visit other countries to see different cultures,
architectures and food, lifestyle and many more. I
just love traveling, it is truly blessings to be
able to travel and see the world. Therefore travel
as much as you can while you can ....
I have travel to Europe but have not been to Portugal,
Greece, Finland and many more northern part European
countries. I wish I can visit them soon :)

I am lucky enough to be living in a different country from where I was born. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always had the itch to go and visit other countries. So, when the opportunity came to move to a different one, I jumped on it. It was difficult at first, but I can truly say that life has been better after I moved.
I don't recommend that everybody move and live to a different country, but I certainly advise that people should go and visit other places. So, as to feel how it is like to have a different kind of life.

yes i agree with you it is good to travel or plan ahead like taking a vacation. i like to travel in a country full of historical past events like those i only saw in movies or read in books. but before i do it then have to save a lot to go there. i like to go to ancient cities and explore the places so it goes me back to memory lane and dream about it but this time it is for real.

Travelling is one of my interests. I'd like to travel the world. To date, I've only visited 2 countries - Hong Kong and Sabah Malaysia. This year, a friend and I will be travelling to KL, Malaysia and Singapore. We plan to travel at least once a year. Hopefully, there will still be good deals on airfare despite the current economy.
I would also love to visit the US and do backpacking in Europe...someday, I'll make it happen.

Yes it is always a great thing to visit other countries. But people from developing countries - of course a majority of them - cannot afford to go and visit other places within the country leave alone other countries. I am yet to embark on a voyage to another country. I along with many other too dream that one day the dream will come true.

No, I'm like your aunt. I've never been to another country, nor do I care to travel to any. I don't think I'm missing out though. I'm quite content where I'm at.
Happy mylotting!

I love to travel and I agree people need to get out more and see the world if they can. I know some people who have lived in the same neighborhood all their lives and never left their state let alone go to a different country. I don't understand that because that was never me. I've been to:
Australia
Brazil
Bermuda
Bahamas
Canada
Germany
Jamaica
Mexico
Philippines
Taiwan
Thailand
I've been to Japan about four times but I never left the airport.

I have visited Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. Mostly the Asia countries. I do hope that I will be able to go to Europe one day, but the cost is so high that I can't really afford at the moment.

Well, I am currently in the Philippines but I was raised up in Brunei Darussalam. It is a small country situated in the Borneo island. It's really a nice and safe place there in Brunei. i lived there for like around 14 years. During that 14 years, I also traveled to other neighboring countries such as Malaysia & Hongkong. It's really a fun experience whenever we travel. Now, my plan is to travel and visit most of the tourist destinations here in the Philippines first. Then, I would think of traveling abroad. My favorite places that I want to go is New Zealand, Australia, Japan and England. I really hope I can eventually travel to my dream places.

Hi maximax8. i love to tarvell to AUSTRALIA & NEWZEALAND. Being in INDIA we people donot earn that much money so that we can travell to EOUROPE/US but surely we can travell to neighbouring countries like NEPAL,MYANMAR,BHUTAN,SINAPORE,PAKISTAN,SRILANKA,DUBAI. These are cheaper to travel if compared to EUROPE/US/AUSTRALIA.I work in a MNC & i was given an offer to work in SHARJAH but i denied to go there as i don't like MUSLIM countries as lot of laws there which are very hard to follow.
I love to go to NEPAL/SRILANKA as both the nations are full of natural sites.Hope some day i will travel to US.
