Friends, my personal computer is a very old one means my father gifted me this 7 years ago. On that moment there was not that much of usage of bluetooth device even in cell phones. But now i have a mobile which has that option but i want to transfer data from PC to Mobile but don't have cable to connect it to my PC. So there is only option that is bluetooth. But this is a very old system so can you suggest how to use bluetooth device with this Desktop PC?

They sell USB bluetooth adapters that would enable you to do this. I'm not sure if the PC you are mentioning was made in the land before USB or not.. If thats the case then you would need to add a USB adapter to the pc.. or a nifty method I have used because I was too cheap to buy an adapter is a few step process..
1) send an MMS message to your email
2) Reply to that message with desired files as an attachment
3) retrieve those files on your phone as an MMS message
This may not work depending on your phone and cell service.. and also how large the file is..
Hope this is of help..

You are right Lou. Logan's response is somewhat confusing. For your problem if you do not have USB ports on your desktop, you have to insert USB card in the PCMIA slots on the mother board if one is available and then insert your Bluetooth adopter (Transmitter/receiver) which may function as needed. I am not much into Bluetooth technology but I am presuming that is the way it works.

In the first place why do you need Bluetooth device for your desktop? What is normally done and easily so is to use the data cable that comes with the Mobile phone. One end of it is inserted in the mobile at the assigned point and the other end which is USB connector is to be inserted in the USB port of your PC. This is the way I transfer the songs from PC to my mobile. This is also the way to transfer photos from mobiles/cameras to the PC. So easy.
If you have no USB ports as I said elsewhere add a USB card to your PC. That is also quite easy.

you need a bluetooth adaptor, they have bluetooth usb adaptors in the market, and it is not that expensive. try ebay or amazon to get a good deal on such adaptors.

What kind of computer unit you have?? A pentium III unit?? Is your unit have USB ports. You can use a Usb bluetooth adapter . I think it is look like a flashdrive that will play as a receiver.
