Italy I want to visit it once.

Hi mylotters,
I have a few Italian friends and love the culture. But I never been there and I will do it once I get the oppurtunity. What do you know about this country and what do you love about it. Share your experience with me.

If you visit Italy I suggest you don't miss going to Florence. It is a city of artistic marvels gorgeous churches historical sites that truly would take a lifetime to exhaust.

I am English but I stayed in italy for several months when I was younger. I love the Italian people and their friendliness. I love the delicious food. I love the fact that Roman ruins are everywhere and are seen as part of the landscape - in England we have Roman ruins and they are all carefully preserved and roped off, whereas in Italy you can actually walk among the ruins and touch them in some places. I love the brightly decorated churches. I love the city of Florence. If you visit Italy, I'm sure you'll love it too.
