Black Cat I road mine

To me, the superstitions about black cats, ladders and other things are just what we call "old wives' tales". I have owned several black cats and was never affected by any bad luck from the cat. I have also had a black cat cross my path once when I was driving. No big deal.

I have chosen to view the ill omens of black cats crossing your path, the number 13 and other such superstitions as GOOD luck for me. In this way, when others are having bad luck, their good luck flows to me. I always have good days on Friday the 13ths, for example. Since much of luck seems to be a state of mind, I believe this is the healthiest way to go for a superstitious rat like me.

I'll be honest, from time to time I've seen a black cat crossing the road in front of me while driving and it's made me think hard about it.

Well, I have a black cat at home, so I am obviously not superstitious about them. Black cats are misrepresented creatures, and it's almost silly to still hold superstitions about them in this day and age. I think that there has been well enough time to prove that they are not hellcats by any means. Can't judge a cat by its color, same as people.
