Depending "Too" Much On Mylot?

Being part of Mylot is thought of as a wonderful experience for a great many people here and i agree that most of the time, it can be and is very rewarding in a lot of ways.Getting to know people from different countries, interacting with friends, asking for and receiving advice, plus getting paid for all of this are all that is what draws many, many people here.
But,what if Mylot were gone tomorrow? how much or little would it affect you?
Do you think you depend a little too much on this website for the things i stated about earlier? or,would you just take it all in stride if it were gone?

Hi there,
I do depend on myLot but simply because it has proven to date to be online impeccably. However, there are quite a few members that (heaven forbid), if myLot were to be gone, that I can certainly keep in contact with on other sites, emails and or telephone.
Though it will not be as constant as we do here on myLot, the bonds we have developed will not be easily forgotten. I am sure that if one of them discovered another user friendly site, in the event myLot was not around that they and or I would network it to get them all there.
In terms of learning other countries, I have picked up quite a bit here on myLot and would suspect my learning would continue because I have applied a great deal of interest and would not want my learning phases to come to a halt.

Hi there back Anywhere you go, if it affords you the opportunity to meet new friends and form bonds with them, then no matter where you are or where they are,the happy times and wonderful memories stay with you and are never really forgotten.
We all know nothing lasts forever, but we can all take with us all that was good about any experience we may have had.

Many of us do connect offline as well so we would continue in some of our great friendships, and we would share good sites, I know. I think we have learned a lot of things in our time here and will continue to learn because of MyLot.

So true here GG it is because of you that I ventured out to the world of internet earnings. During that path you made it so much fun and enjoyable for me to spread my wings onto other sites. Therefore, this lovely memory I will treasure forever and of course the email, phone and possible visits are something to always look forward to.

It will really make me sad and will surely affect me much. It's not that I am very dependent on mylot, but I have been a member here for almost 2 years. I go online most of the time when I am at work because it keeps me alive and it's very fun here. I would surely miss the friends that I have come across with here, I really don't have contact with them outside here. But I really do hope it's not gonna happen. A lot of members here will really be sad.

As i mentioned before, the longer someone has been here, the harder it would be for them to give it up.Mylot has become truly important to so many of us and although there are so many ways t keep us coming back here, making friends seems to be what draws us here the most.
I sincerely hope no one believes Mylot is really ending,it certainly is not.my only purpose for starting this discussion was to learn how it would affect the members here if it wwere to end and i did learn just how much people love and would surely miss it if it ended. So no need to be sad

I guess it would suck for a little while.
And then I'd move on. And find myself another site to put my two cents in.
There would be some people here that I would miss. Some, I haven't seen for a while, but I know are just there. It would be great to get their contact information before the site kicks the bucket.

"i guess it would suck for a little while and then i would move on And find myself another site to put my two cents in."
According to the responses i received, yours was a little surprising, since going by your posts, you've been here quite awhile and yet it sounds as if you would have no problem moving on and in some ways that isn't a bad way to feel since nothing lasts forever and getting too upset or feeling lost about a discussion website isn't a very healthy or productive way to feel even though i do feel as you mentioned, losing friends we've made here and not having any other contact info for them can be quite sad.

I am initially here on MyLot for the earnings. But as i start participating in discussions, i realise that it gets really quite interesting over here and that it's fun interacting with people from over the world.
However, if MyLot were to be gone tomorrow, i guess it won't really affect me. I perhaps would just go back to reading more blogs and blogs. However, it has been part of my life now. because these few months, after school and waking up in the morning, i would open MyLot and start reading and start responding to discussion!
I believe i would be at a lost should MyLot disappear tomorrow. I guess it would take me some time to get used to it again.

Initially, i think many people come here because Mylot is a paying website, but after awhile they realize it's much more than that and become quite addicted to it.
Managing to do without something that is so enjoyable and worthwhile is never easy and can be quite upsetting, very much like losing a friend and the longer one has been here, the harder it would be to give it all up.
You do mention you would find other things to occupy your time but, go on to say how much Mylot is a part of your life and how upset you would be if it were gone, so i believe it would have a strong affect on you and that is understandable having mixed feelings about this.so, all and all i do think most people would be very lost without Mylot.

Definitely.
Especially when i'm bored, i'll just come to myLot to read some discussions. Without mylot, i'll definitely need some time to get used to it.

Take it in stride - not all in stride , at this moment when I want to answer something it'll get input here and I wait for interesting answers and not be debilitating advice from the post , friends here ? probably slim This is my virtual computer library as long as comments are mellow that couldn't have happened if I didn't "meet" mylot...

i gather from your response,if Mylot were to close down you would take it in stride, but still miss the comments and responses you look for and i do feel these things are very important for some people.
Everyone has their own reasons for coming here and since you are fairly new to Mylot, you will find that the more you participate here, the more interesting and worthwhile it will become for you.

I feel always pleasure whenever i am on MYLOT because you learn many things on MYLOT, you make friends with this site which will be with you if MYLOT goes away also. Its great to see people from different country when gives their opinions on the same topic.
But it doesn't matter if MYLOT goes away because there are lot of other sites available through which we can do the same things but the only difference is MYLOT updates your account for all activities you do in a day which i think most of the sites don't do. For this reason i will miss MYLOT.

Good healthy attitude. Even though you really like it here you realize there are other things in life and just because we really enjoy doing certain things and making friends along with it,if it no longer existed we would be able to manage just fine, we learn this at a very young age and somehow it manages to stay with us throughout our life

Absolutely man need man as we all social beings. We need people does't matter through which channel they come from. People should carry friends not money.one always learn from other but depends on his own curiousity to learn things. I usually have learnt some thing from MYLOT. people discuss things alot on topics which sometimes is new for us and enhance knowledge.

i think most people would also miss the friendship's they've gained here more than anything else but, the good part about this is,if you are able to keep in contact with them as you have mentioned you will be able to do,it might be a little easier to accept if Mylot no longer existed, although still disappointing and quite sad.

I would be every disappionted if Mylot would not exist! I love being here making money, making some friends and learning about other countries. If Mylot would go away I would spend less time on the computer! Then watch more tv like I did before I found Mylot! The cycle would continue I guess! LOL!

I have just rekindled my passion joining the MyLot community and I have not yet gone farther with it. I cannot imagine getting online without being able to log in to it anymore. Save MyLot.

No need to save Mylot since it will most likely be here for a long time to come. it's truly amazing how much it would affect others if it were to end.So i believe you will be able to go as far as you wish here and "rekindle' all the things you enjoyed here previously.

I think I would be very upset if myLot were to be canceled. I love coming on here and reading peoples "thoughts" and having people comment on mine. This site is a great experience and I enjoy it very much. I would still use this site even if it didn't pay you. But I'm sure myLot is in no danger of being canceled. Or at least I hope not..

I don't think you need to worry, since i'm quite sure Mylot will be here for a long time to come.i was just interested to know how others would feel if it no longer existed and how it would affect them.
From the responses i received so far it does seem that people would be very sad to see it end and even though they would manage to find other things to do, Mylot has become quite important to them and when you say you would come here even if they didn't pay you, that tells me a lot of how much you've already gained by being here and that's just great.

I don't want to think of that yet. I simply enjoy Mylot as the days roll by.
But i guess, if that happens, i will be frantic of searching for other sites that i could enjoy as much as Mylot.

That would be sad because it is part of our daily activities. We started our day having the curiosity of how many responded to our discussion or how much is the increase in our income. It would not affect me much though I would miss this site. We all have to move on after mylot and maybe the developer of this web would come up with a better one to replace mylot if that's the case.

I agree, Mylot has so many features and so many ways to keep us interested,it would be very disappointing if we weren't any longer able to enjoy what brings us here so often.but, as you mentioned, life does go on and you never know what may come along later on that may give us just as much pleasure as Mylot has.

It is very interesting to see how MyLot is a big part of people's lives. From what I can see the community on this website is both intriguing and intellectual and I can't wait to get to know this website a lot more.

Yes, just from my responses i do notice how important this site is for a lot of people and although this is a good thing it also can become somewhat addicting where other activities we may have been involved in,can cause us to neglect them, so i feel this or any website should never be so fully depended on where if it went away, people may feel totally lost without it.
But, as i mentioned to a few other new people here, Mylot will most likely be here for a very long time and i do hope you get the chance to explore all it has to offer, you seem excited to and that is a good thing, so welcome to Mylot, hope you enjoy your stay here

I have been here a long while, but there are other things I can and will do if MyLot ever disappears. It might not be as much fun, until I got in a new habit, but I would fill the time and I would still keep in touch with friends I have met here. Life goes beyond the computer and beyond social sites.

No doubt, the longer we are part of something good and worthwhile, the harder it is to let go when it comes to an end.
The difference between some other things we may become attached to and other social websites such as Mylot, is, even if it no longer existed, the friendships do not have to end and that i believe this is what draws so many people to these types of websites.that is the true bonus.

I suppose one would have to line up some alternatives if myLot fails. If anyone is over doing it here that I suppose will be set right and there will be time for those chores which have been kept aside and neglected. As for me I have so many interests and in fact myLot has robbed their time and if and when myLot disappears (which I hope not) I can return that time to all those activities that now get less time. Absolutely no problem.

Any active member here knows how much time Mylot can take up and even though most of what it offers is good and educating, it can and does prevent some of us from doing other things that may be more important.
That's why i think anything good should be taken in moderation and not become an addiction or taken so seriously. We should all learn just to enjoy it while it's here, but realize it can all be gone tomorrow and still be ok with that.

Oh no! I can't imagine mylot being gone! My lot has become a part of my daily routine. Though I don't get to post each day, i still visit the site and just check some of the interesting discussions. I'm not really dependent on the earnings here since I am mostly here for fun. Mylot has become my best friend, my journal and my shrink. If it goes then I'd surely be sad and probably fret about it for a couple of days. I sure do hope I can still interact with friends that I have met here.

Wow!Your response actually made me sad.Don't worry i'm quite sure Mylot isn't going anywhere but,i do think it would be harder for you than some people since the site has offered you so much and is so important to you.
Even so,you did mention you would be sad for a couple of days and of course that's to be expected for anyone who has been here for a long time as long as you wouldn't let the sadness linger for too long , you would be fine and yes, keeping the friends we have made here would certainly ease the blow.

Don't worry Mylot will probably be around for a long time to come and i am pleased to hear you enjoy the site so much.
You say Mylot has become part of your life and thats just fine, but believe me if it no longer existed you would find other things to do and would manage just fine, sometimes things in life can be very unfair but sooner or later we do find a way to manage without them and it's important we do so.

I would say it wouldn't affect me too much, seeing as how I just joined yesterday ;)
But I am excited to see how much I can make on the site from day to day, and I've enjoyed reading other users responses to questions. I hope to become even more involved and find more topics that I can reply to as the days go by.
