About 15 years ago, I went to a restaurant and the owner was a tarot reader. So you could eat at her restaurant and while you were eating, she would sit at your table and tell you about your future. I thought it would be fun and asked her to. Turns out that she was dead-on nearly everything she said. I thought it would be nice to go again since hubby retired and find out what the future holds for us but she is not doing it anymore. I can read tarot for others but not for myself or anyone I know too well. Wouldnt it be so much easier if we could have an idea of whats to come? Would you go to a tarot reader to find out what your future holds? Have you ever been to one? Was she right or way off?

I have a dear friend who does tarot readings, she does not leave near me anymore and she has read my tarot cards. The first time I went to see her was through a friend and this is how she and I met. Though our friendship was never based on the readings she has read mine several times. It often shocks me for her to do so because she is so right on with all she tells me. I do not try and live my life on what she has told me because I do not want to make it a point to try and defy my destiny in anyway. Makes me think about personally avoiding things so things told to me will not happen then other things getting interrupted. But I must admit she is really good and wow told me things that to date I have always wondered how she could be so good in fore seeing.

Good for you for having such a friend. Yes sometimes it makes us wonder if we do things only to not do as we were told in a reading haha. But when you forget what was told and then you remember after it happens......that tells you the reader was genuine. How they do it, well I couldnt explain it scientifically but Im just happy it can be done. Thanks for sharing, sorry your friend has moved away!

I don't think I want to know what lies ahead. I'm the kind who likes surprises. It would spoil the fun! It could also make me feel worried and so make me not enjoy the present.

I know what you mean. The card reader had told us that hubby would have a problem but it would all get fixed after a few months. She even said it would happen in September and it did, but we never thought about it before it happened, only AFTER!! So we didnt worry about it. Thanks!

I've been reading tarot for a few years now and i have never went to see a pro to do my readings for me. I often consult other friends who also know how to read the tarot whenever i want my reading done because I also find it hard to give myself a reading. I never believed in the concept of having to pay someone to do a reading because having this skill is a "gift" and it came for free so you should also give such a service to the other people who need it without any malice of having to earn from it. I also believe that the cards "speak" to the reader. It gives out certain information for the client at that given situation and time. Whenever it divulges an information about the future, it is only meant to serve as a guide and not something you should actually expect to happen most of the time (well only if you don't really do something about it, imho). you are still given the power and the free will to change what you see in a reading :) it only serves as a guide as to what MAY come but not necessarily IS about to come, if you get my drift :)

I never believed in the concept of having to pay for a reading because for me, being given such a skill is a "gift" and it's meant to help other people too without any malice of earning a dime. I do believe that the cards "speak" to the reader and give out the necessary information the client needs to know at that given time and situation. I also believe that having to know your future from the cards only serves as a guide as to what is about to come your way, you still have the ability to alter it. The tarot is meant as a guide and not something that you should base most of your future endeavors with. :)

I love your story so much, because it's so similar to a business idea I have, only mine it's about a gift store, not a restaurant. But my clients could still have a seat, a cup of tea or coffee, and a free reading, while deciding what gifts to purchase. Seriously doubt it's ever going to happen, but it can't hurt to dream. I've been to some gypsy readers when I was a child, and I remember one of them said that I would never become very rich or very happy in my family life, but I would be truly successful and happy with my work in the second part of my life. Still waiting for this to happen

Well maybe it'll happen when you do open your gift store. It would be a great idea. You need to make sure the people would buy something first though. The only reason the restaurant did work is because people would go ONLY to get a reading. If you didnt buy food, you didnt get a reading!! Good luck in achieving that dream of yours. Thanks for sharing!!

I haven't been to a pro but have had amateur readings. In my opinion the suggestions are too vague and could apply to almost everyone. I don't think I'd want to know even if I was sure they were accurate.

Yes some arent real tarot readers and what they say can apply to just about anyone. I feel that SOME things are best not known but others are fun to know in advance lol. Thanks for sharing!!
