Do you have a car? The reason I asked that because it was my experience in two days ago.I was passing by car dealership company just for browsing purpose.I saw so many nice cars really attract on your eyesight. Is it expensive? Yes, sure it does. Do I want to have one, sure I do? But having a car , does it mean that you will enjoy your life more? Mmmmm.. I doubt it. Yes or no and it really depends on how are you going to handle it. There are times you can drive your cars to the places where you want to go and it is convienence to have one. However, when your cars cause you lots of trouble such as car accident, traffic jam, you need to check it out regularly, fix it when it has problem, parking problem, gad re-filled and so on, it is not a way to enjoy life then. What do you think?

I am a single mother of 2 and i've done the new car thing for years but just recently, I got tired of paying out all that money that could've been invested in something or put up for my kids college. Anyway, I gave up my $380 car note for a Suburban and a Camry. Both paid cash for and I enjoy the financial freedom. All I have to pay for is insurance and of course gas lol. My truck is for family trips and my car is for city rides. But to sum it all up...your life is what you make it, not having a car. But where I live a car is much needed

i think it must be a great fun for you and your families to enjoy your trips during holiday.but we cannot enjoy this kind of joy 'cause there is few places for us to spend a day without the terrible jam.what's worse, here in china many cities have begun to limit the number of cars to be bought monthly, which means you cannot buy a car you want if you are not lucky enough to be chosen now even you have the money to pay for it.

It is an advantage and we do have fun. I couldn't imagine going thru that and don't know how I would be able to handle a situation like that. I hope it works out for you sooner than later

actually we seem to have kinda got used to the bad condition.and 'cause i'm still a high-school student,so riding bicycle just works for me(and it's quite healthy, isn't it?)in fact i am planing a trip to the countryside(far away)with my friends as a celebrition for our coming graduation.we are going to take a bus there(it may take a quite long time)and then start riding bicyle in the countryside.for some fresh air!

i dont have a car i do have a bike and i think that i can enjoy life better with a bike than a car. with my bike i dont have any problem with traffic jam and i dont spend to much money to fix it when it has a problem. i will only buy a car because of my children there is no bus in my town and i cant carry them on my bike. so i think that a car does not permit to enjoy life but permit to spend more.

It would be a lot easier for me to find and keep a job if I had a car. My last job I lied and said I had a car, so that I could get the job. I was fired, but I am not sure if that's the reason, though I am suspicious...
Anyway, having a car solves more problems than it creates. Yes you can get in a traffic jam and car accidents, but I would have the same problem if I ride the bus, and I have no control there. As far as with the parking problem. It is better to have to find somewhere to park and have the chance of not having to walk far, or you can ride the bus and have set stops that usually are far from where you want to go.
I don't care if I have a brand new car, maybe I never will, but I need some vehicle. You live in Hong Kong and it is very different there when it comes to cars. Here is not as big, so having a vehicle is very important. Public transportation here is horrible and they keep cutting more and more stops in some places, so it can be very difficult to get some places.

Yes, I agree with you that having a car is very important and in fact I do want a car as well if I can afford to have one. However, it is not easy to take care of a car since it will cause problems such as insurance, annul check up and things like that. One of the worse thing we Hong Kong people needs to deal with is traffic will got stuck at all times. At the same time, parking will always be a headache for all the car owners in Hong Kong. Our city is s0 small but with a population of over 7 million people. Since rich people are every where in this place, they can afford to have a nice car . That really makes the traffic busy and also the parking will always be a problem. Well, I think I am comfortable of not having a car for myself yet since the subway and the train will always take us to almost any where of the city already, so it is so convenience for us .Be a car owner in here needs to deal with lots of responsibility and many laws to follow as well. Many bad drivers in our city has cause many people's life but the car accident has never been stop . The news always report the accident daily and it has no news value to us already.(since it is not new ). Anyway, I hope people can drive with safety and don't drinks before they drive. That will make less people get injured and we can all enjoy road safety in this city.Well, good night and it is my bed time again. Happy mylot.

Well for me I love cars, so nothing really matter to me. So like traffic jam, parking, etc, I have no problem with it. Because if I am going out otherwise, some of those things are still possible if I travel in taxi. Well for me sometimes you can be late for certain things and you need a ride to work and what you might notice is that every taxi that pass is either fill with people already or they are not going your directions. In times like that you would be happy to have a vehicle. Also for late night fun. In the late nights, alot of public transportation stop working, in those conditions you could be stuck where you are.
Well I love cars overall. I love driving so much especial manual transmission cars. SO for me I naturally think that driving is really fun. For me that is though.

I've been driving for so many years and i never had any car accidents. I never had any problems with parking and traffic jam is a part of life i have to accept since it's unavoidable even if i commute.
I'm not saying that i enjoy my life more with a car, but i have more convenience compared to others. Take it when it's raining. In my city, during rainy days, even taxis are difficult to find and taking a public transportation will get you wet and will take you home late.
I cannot live without a car since i'm so used to it i don't even know how to take public transportation. My car is well maintained, so there's no way i'd be stuck in the middle of nowhere, unless my tire explodes or i get a flat tire. But in that case, i have a cellphone where i can call for help or even without a cellphone i can get help from a friendly neighborhood.

Oh, yew. For sure having a car is convenience to those who need it for work or where public transit is not well establish like we do in Hong Kong. In my city , you can go almost everywhere with the subway and train system or just take a taxi or bus will do. It is not a big city but just too many people living this small city , that's all. There are just too many cars in town now and the government is having a new policy to avoid people buying more new cars. But it may not work since there are just too many rich people in this place that they can afford to pay more new car fees to get what they want in here. I think a car can be a tool for convenience , but sometimes people just make it as a luxury hobby in my city and make it as a symbol of prestige. I think if people can really use a car when there is a need and people can afford to do so, it is a good thing. But taking care of a car surely required lots of work unless the owner doesn't care anything about the car.Well, I hope that I can have my own car and I can drive to lots of place by myself. I hope that it won't be long for me and I am really looking forward to this experience.I don't have an expensive car or not. As soon as it is a new one(I don't want a used one since it may cause many trouble and safety problem) and I will be happy with that. Anyway, that's it for now and I hope you will keep on enjoying your life with your car.Happy mylot.

Right, having a car need lots of capital, such as you have to pay more money to afford it,affording the parking lot,pay more to repair it when it is broken and the later safeguard. And now,the gas's price goes up that increase people's burden. But,it is convenient when you have a car, which you can go everywhere at anytime and need not to await the bus that save your time and you are free.If i can afford it i will buy one.but to be honest, you have to pay more when you own it.

i dont think that just by having a car then you will enjoy life. life is enjoyable even you dont have car. there are a lot of means of transportation already. there is bus, train, boat so you can travel even without a car. plus the price of cars is not cheap, and when you have one already gasoline and maintenance is another matter. so me and my wife and son enjoys life there are a lot more reason to enjoy it that just having a car.

If I could get away from not owning a car I wouldn't. They are a pain in the butt! They are expensive especially when they need repairs or normal maintence! Not to mention the price of gasoline! Unfortunely I need a car! I need a car to get to work. I need a car to do my shopping,to visit my family and just alot of other stuff! Having a car is no real way to enjoy life unless I would have the money to take care of it without having to always borrow the money when I need it!

I have a car but not a new one i would have no chance in affording a new car my car is about 7 years old. However whatever age of car you get it is a big expense to run and maintain a car however i have not regretted buying a car. This is because i really enjoy driving and drive as much as possible it is why my part time job is delivering takeaways.

Well, since I was sixteen years old, I've always had a car of my own and because of that I don't think that I would be able to enjoy my life if I didn't have a car. We use our car on a daily basis for everything from getting to work or to the store to getting the children to their sports activities. Living where we do, it would be really weird if we didn't have a car at all. We have two cars and a moped in our family currently.

It depends on your situation I guess. I've never looked at having a car as a luxury. It's a necessity for me. I need one to get to work every day. There is no mass transit that serves my area and my work is too far away to walk or even ride a bike so a car is the only choice I have. I've had a car since I was 15 years old and really couldn't imagine being without one.

Well, in my opinion having a car could really make us enjoy our life more, because it could easily take us to any place we want at any time .
However, we have to be financially capable when we have a car. Because succumbing to the urge of going to places anytime, would mean more money than what we actually are receiving for our salaries. It would mean more money for gas, for expenses relative to the outing and much more for the maintenance of the car. Having it would also increase our cost of living.
So i guess, if you are not prepared for those expenses, better be contented of having no car and go outing , whenever you have the budget for it.

Hi,i am a student and i haven't a car at present, but my dad have one, just as my father said, cars maybe cause some troubles sometimes, and it also can't be denied that too many cars bring very tremendous pressure to the environment certainly, but it is more important that cars provide the convenience to people for most ordinary families, of cause, the singnificance of some cars might are the symbols of the quality of life for some rich men, which bring big pleasure to them...

I can not imagine not having a car, or not having a drivers license. I have been with out a auto at times in my life was the worse time that I have lived. Without it where I lived there was no buses or taxis to take you where you wanted to go. So you had to call come someone to come take you to get groceries or go to the doctor. And it was when it was convient to them, not you. yes cars are expensive, especially with the price of gas now. But if you take care of it, one will last you a long time that is if you make sure you know what you buying and not get caught in a bad sale. You should never by a used car unless it is a cetified used car it has been gone over by carfax which tells u if it has been wrecked and is guareented not to have any major problems.
Would not having a car make my life unhappy YES IT WOULD. I guess if you never had one then you dont know what you are missing. Give it a try see if you aren't happier when you have your life in control as to where you can go when you want.

When you mentioned all these problem I definitely agree with you. When own a car, you have to pay tag tax, every year you must spend $20 for emission inspection. You must spend money on maintenance, like oil change, fuel injection, and God know what other problem you might have. Also, you must pay the insurance, and other incidents might happen during the year. So, you should know better what is right for you, and what is not.

Although I had troubles with cars in the past, I still need one. When I had my cars, they were lots of trouble. But they were “used cars” at the time. I always had to have the cars repaired. And the mechanics seem to know you’re not smart with cars (I’m not), so they lie and say ”this is wrong with your car” so they can get more money. And car repair is too much when your money is limited. You have to pay for gas and car insurance and windshield wiper fluid. And you have to look out for your tires. It’s also good that I don’t have a car because it makes me walk and I get exercise. I see some people who have cars and they drive down the street when they could walk. They are too lazy. Yet, I’d still rather have a car. I hate to depend on other people. Some people I ask to take me to the supermarket or store might tell me to wait until tomorrow or the weekend. When my cousin took me shopping, he’d scare me because he can’t see too good. I didn’t like riding with him. Now he can only see in one eye. Other relatives tell me they’ll pick me up at 1:00, so I get ready, and they either don’t come or they come much later and mess up my day schedule. Now we have a little city bus. But it lets us off many streets from my street. In the past when I worked at the amusement park, we had a park bus to take us to places. When I stopped working at the park, I had to catch a cab. It was too expensive and they are too busy and take hours to get you, if they don't forget you.
I also like to travel to other cities, so I need a car. When I have to get some place in a hurry, I need a car. And although I like to walk for exercise, I can’t do that when it’s real cold or when there's a dangerous lightning storm outside. (I walked from my mother's home last night and the ligtning was scary. When I have a doctor’s appointment or court date and have no money, I have to walk but that’s hard to do when it storms.

No, I don't have a car at the moment but I would love to have one . Hopefully, in the next 3 years . My main reason for having a car actually is so that I can just hop on the car and drive around without having to worry about transportation. However, if I did decide to have one, it will be at a time that I'm ready with the added expenses such as gas and insurance so that I would still enjoy owning a car instead of worrying on where to get finance for those additional expenses.

Hi wild,
Definitely, having a car would add more to my life than without it. I would stand out among the neighborhood, go to places I want to go at my leisure, make shorter the time I have to spend on going to and from work and all that.
On the other hand, I would rather not go drooling for one, I just can't afford the price, the maintenance, the fuel cost, the "carnap" gangs, and the trauma of traffic jams and accidents.
I feel I am more at ease walking the streets on my own two legs and admiring the scenery rather than riding in a car like a fugitive and and invalid.

I'm a college student and I don't need a car. I drive a lot but my parents bought me a little moped scooter that I drive.
The little thing gets 95 miles to the gallon and half the time I pay less than full price.
If you're not driving a lot of places that are far away then by all means invest in something that's cheaper than a car.
