Great sites that a free and safe to download music? I am planning to purchase an Ipod for my mother and I. And I would like to download some music to the Ipod.

You cheapskate! Get your hand in your pocket and pay for your music. It's not expensive these days and you should be willing to fork out at least a small amount for all the pleasure music can bring you. Tut!

Orson, I'm with you - we wouldn't like to work without getting paid, it's the same for the artists that put all their money and time into making, producing, promoting and album (it's not cheap). Get iTunes, you can put your songs onto ipod with it, and they don't cost an absolute fortune for each song. Support what you listen to.

You can download ares ,it is free and safe to download music from.an you can also use torrent to download music as well . But now a day it easy to get music,hope this help a bit.

Thank you I will definitely check those sites out I use to use Limewire, but it is very slow now a days, plus they are not taking new users due to a lawsuit I think...
