I just browsed some dicsussins that i have bookmarked since I want to answer them now. i wa quite shocked because some of them were already 5 months, 3 moths, 9 months old. I must have forgotten to answer them. Now i don't want to answer the 9 month old discussions since i can't help anymore.

Though we earn for type here. But actually we just not type but express our opinion on the matter. So attractive discussion catch our eye and lend us to write some lines.

I have been busy withoffline things to do these last few months andhave not been able to keep up with the notifiers that are arriving when those on my friend list have started a new topic - but I have saved them all and one day, when I am back with my usually schedule and I know that I have time, I will start from the oldest ones and work through them. It will not matter how old they are, if I can relate to the topic I will respond and comment on the responses if I have something to add too. I have responded to discussions that are even 5 years old, regardless of whether the Lotter who started them is still active or not. It makes no difference at all as far as earnings are concerned because I earn for what I post. If the use is no longer active and does not come back and comment then I still left my opinion and it will end there, unless another user comments intheir place.

Yeah, there are times when we have too much work and find no time to open our computer because we are too exhausted peek on it.As you have said you have it scheduled already, posting comments/responses from the oldest to the present and every post you earn no matter how old. Thanks mysd[em]happy[

I have replied to 5 year old discussions at times, the age of the discussion does not matter to me. If I can place quality content with an aging discussion I will at times. Sometimes I discover a discussion in which I find can benefit new members. By placing a response to it, brings the discussion back up to the recent tab for many others to see. At times the discussion starter is no longer a member, that is okay because I have seen many interact after I have revived the discussion.

Yeah HWG, it's never too old for a discussion if it still applies to the present situation specially if the comment/response you posted greatly benefits the community. One way also to put it on top for all the members to see in case they want to comment too about the discussion. Thanks for the time HWG

A year can be considered an old. But in terms of discussion every discussion is old one is no one responding on it. You can still help but not person who created the discussion but the person who will encounter the problem on later days to come.

Yeah, your absolutely right.Any member who wants to start same discussion with the same thought can find it helpful if he/she read the comments posted on the said discussion. So there's no such thing as old discussion here. Thanks my friend.

hi stanley777, Before I respond to a discussion, usually I would see in advance the date of the posted discussions. Usually if the discussion is already over 1 month old, I will discourage intention to respond, because it is in my opinion already too long and probably are not needed anymore. But there are exceptions for discussions that do not care about time, in the sense that whenever we give the response will still be useful.

Yeah your right, if the discussion from members needs opinion/comment for a problem that need to be solve quicker the I guess we don't need to post our comment if it's too old because there's a possibility that the problem had been resolved. But if the discussion started by members apply to the present situation we can post no matter how old it had been started. Thanks for your time my friend...

Well to tell you the truth I havent been on mylot for almost 2 years. And i decided to go back and answer some of the discussions that i started but were never able to reply to all of the people that responded. I dont think it is ever too late to respond to someone. So i say go for it. you never know you might start the discussion back up.

Thank you for your advice... I think I will answer them too. I agree, it is never too late. I shall look back on all the discussions I made in the past year and try to comment on them.

I just responded to a discussion today that was 2 or 3 years old. I have received e-mails that someone has responded to a discussion I started 3 years ago. I try to my hardest to respond to each and every response, regardless of how old the start of the discussion was.

So it does not matter whether the discussion is new or old as long as we give our best to give quality comment/respond that will be fine.Anyway this is an interaction and every time we post quality content it counts and other members may respond too because the discussion will be elevated again on top.thanks for your time my friend.

The oldest discussion that I have responded to would be almost 4 weeks or almost one month. They are from friends discussions that I haven't responded to and are just in my email waiting to be read and responded. If the discussion needs to be responded right away, I would just apologize and respond anyway even if its a bit too late already. But for a 9 months discussion that needs to be responded right away for it needs help or advise, well, I will no longer be answering that I guess. I may already be too late and the discussion may already have been solved. So the oldest discussion I would have answered is one month only.

Yes,most members do picked newer discussions but if the discussions were initiated by our friends I guess we can comment on them unless they are seeking a solution to a problem which need prompt attention.Yeah the most for me too is a month old but if posted by our friend maybe more if he/she wants my opinion on the topic. Thanks for your time my friend

hi stanley777 The best thing here is that discussion never die you can respond to any discussion you want whenever you want but see that if others have posted the same thing which you are going to post then it might not be that helpful i haven't taken much part in old discussion lately but the oldest i did was 5 years ago and one one 3 years back i also got a reply from the discussion starter so we never know when some one reply us back

Oh, I see if by chance the member who started the discussion is still around he/she can respond back.Anyway some discussion is still applicable to the present time so we can post our comments. Thanks for the response my friend.

i guess aside from the age, the significance of the discussion to a person also count. three months ago, a topic might be really important to someone but today he or she might find it irrelevant. and maybe if you didnt answered to a discussion before and find it not worth answering now, well maybe it is indeed insignificant to you eversince... :) i really like the discussion you opened up here, tnx :)

Yeah, commenting on a discussion especially if it's an old topic may have been resolve by the member so posting a comment further may not be necessary.Especially if the member needs advice or opinion to his/her problem but if the topic of discussion have no time frame and is applicable at the present time, then it's not to old to post a comment. Thanks for your comment my friend Some members are reluctant to post comments if they found that the discussion is very old especially new members.

I'm answering mostly to new disscutions, but I also use search for subject I'm interested in, or checking old disscutions of my friends and if I see something I wish to share about I'm answering no matter how old is the topic :)

I guess I should do that too.At present what I do is look for discussions that interest me and mostly they are started by friends and also other topics about updated news started by members.Yeah, sharing your opinions about a discussion is not too old if it still applies to the present time. Thanks again lajonez
