Hi Mylotters, I wonder how many hours do you spend in mylot daily? I read majority are here more than 8 hours non-stop posting discussion or replying someone else. Don't you have any pain in any part of your body?
To me, I don't have any problem because I spend less time and I was curious to know what did you normally do to stay that long?
Positive or Negative comments are welcome.

Well let i first say it has to depend on my mood. If I am in the mylot mood then I will spend alot of time here. If I am ot in this mood I might not even spend 10 minutes here.
Well when I am in the mylot mood, I have known to spend about 20 hours on this computer non-stop. At the end, my fingers starting to hurt really bad, my eyes full of water and feel very heavy. And then I take a 4 hour sleep and as soon as I wake then The 20 hours start again. I know it is not good for my health. Well that only happens like I said when I am in the mylot mood. Its not everyday I am in that mood. But when I am I spend long hours on it.
When I just joined this site I used to have the mylot mood frequently and I used to hardly be getting any sleep. But as time progress I have the mylot mood less frequently. Right now in this present time I have the mylot mood once in a while. But when that mood comes up then the long hours start again.
The thing about is that when I am in the mood I usually just warm up food from yesterday or something that wont keep me away from the computer for over 5 minutes. And while eating I will still be reading and typing away. Atleast I am happy for mylot still because this is the site that has improved my typing speed, so in those long hours of my mylot mood I can get alot of work done.
Happy myloting!!!!

You have develop a bad eating habit, the food you took won't digest properly with your sitting position. Your intestine try to crush the food into pieces and you were using your brain to think how to post a quality comment. This might cause a loss of energy and turn your mood down because less blood will transport up to your brain. You might feel sleepy too.
The more you think, the harder for your intestine to work. This is same goes to a under power car, just imagine what will happen?
Try to eat when time to eat, mylot when time allow, sleep when time allow. Don't play play with your health.
AS IF I'M A DOCTOR...
Chat soon....I'm crazy but like to joke, that's all.

It depends on the age of the person. if a person is around 30 then he/she can manage to sit for 8 hours a day. Being a retired person with no important work around,I do sit before computer for roughly 4/5 years. yes. it causes neck pain. back pain. I manage by going for walk and sleeping well for an hour in the afternoon and sleeping for nearly 7/8 hours in the night.

Youngsters will have more time and thought to post more discussions. Their commitment not that much as compare with the older ones. If you encounter neck pain or back pain again try to drink more water and go more wash room. It will reduce the pain.

Heyya Hvaniday! I am on and off myLot throughout the day. It might seem like I spend a ton of time here, but I actually just do it for a few minutes at a time. I do sometimes get on a roll and am on for a couple of hours straight, but for the most part if you add all of the little times that I am on here up..it is only a couple of hours per day.
I could not imagine being on for 8 hours..that is a lot of time.

I guess that's how and why mylotters have 4 figure postings. But I cannot do that,
although I know that is how one must do if really serious about online job.But honestly, posting comments needs a little brain work too and your eyes gets strained from too being exposed to blue light for a long time.If I have to stay for eight hours, I really wonder if I will be able to post quality comments and discussions.

Yup! It's true, online work is more difficult than offline and long hours. If you treat this as a hobby, I think you'll do better. No pressure!

That sounds possible, but this is definitely not very good for the body and health from long-term perspective. That is very similar to working in an office. So if someone does decide to spend that amount of time sitting at the computer then they would be wise to know that they would need regular breaks. Otherwise, you stop suffering from repetitive strain injury. I sometimes spent several hours on here, but at the same time I am also doing something else. So it's not just solid work here, but I don't think you can earn a decent wage by spending that amount time on here anyway...

What? more than 8 hours a day? I really admire you who worked so hard. I didn't login mylot for months, and when I do, I probably stay here for 15 to 30 minutes...well I did have pain on my back when I sit in front of the computer for the whole day working, during these times, take a bath or lie on the bed for a break will lesson the pain. :P

Hi msabc1, nice to hear from you. At the end of the day you still need to take some rest and can't work harder. I just can't understand someone has did for more than the usual hours.
Hi anklesmash, yeah even five minutes can make lots of different on mylot. I can see your point and your intention. Why not stop studying and start full time mylotting... Just kidding.

That is a long time to be here or any site. Unless the money was really good I don't think I would do it myself. It's just not worth it to me. I think the most I have ever spent online or on a site was maybe an hour or two. I've been on a site all day but I was doing other stuff at the same time to kind of double dip to make money. I also took breaks and restarted my computer when I did.

Hi. Hvaniday1. I am on myLot for at least nine hours in a day. But, I do take breaks though. I take many breaks in these hours. I can't be on myLot all day long because my fingers will hurt really badly if I do. I have to take a break every now and then.

That's nice cream97, at least I found someone spending more than 8 hours mylotting. Now I can see the solutions, it means you stop every now and then. Don't you feel troublesome?

I pretty much stay logged in to myLot all day. I'm in and out. Have other things to do off and on. Look back in on myLot, make a few posts and go back to doing stuff in the house. I check email and answer some discussions from there, then visit other sites where I have membership.
And, yes, I live in pain but it's not from myLot participation. It's just part of my life. I don't see how anyone can get the maximum benefits from myLot by spending just 15-30 minutes a day doing the myLot stuff.

I can post endlessly here in mylot if given the time. Since i do this during breaks... or i am not that cramped with work then i can do it again and again and maybe i could do it 8 hours non stop it is that addicting to me.

I usually log in to My Lot around an hour every day. Sometimes I can just log in for 20 minutes, it really depends on my mood. I don't think I can log in to My Lot for as long as 8 hours or so.

Hi chiwasaki, 20minutes or less is good enough as long as you can contribute, someone will reply your discussion.

Wow, to spend 8 hours on mylot. You are very industrious. I am on mylot now and then. There are weeks, when I'm here every day, but it also happens that I have other things to do. My studies have taken much priority time. It is interesting to read all postings. It's a good place to discuss various subjects.

Well 8hrs sounds like an addiction to mylot...its good cause you can participate in a lot of discussions and earn good bucks...but in my case i could spend upto 2hrs on work days and may be on off days about 5hrs...its nice cause its not just the money, you get to know whats happening in the world, make new friends and also gather useful information....you can also get solutions to your problems....its a great place....so i guess 8hrs is a proper routine shift........

Hi keenan_savio, many of them are spending their time like yours. No, I don't like to take shift, it make no difference from work. I don't like to treat mylot as a work but rather enjoy the friendship that we use to have and sharing.

Hi Harmonee, very good idea, that means you are very mobile with your computer. Good to hear that you have no pain at all. I need a favor from you, can I borrow your laptop for just one day? Please.....

I can't imagine it myself - that would be a real pain in the you-know-what! But it seems that some people do these marathon sessions. Obviously they have no work to occupy them, yet I don't think they earn anything like a wage. I really don't think they are a majority - where did you read that?

Hi Peter, I think was back in 2009 and I can't get the url. I don't know whether do they earn like a wage or not but one thing I know is, if someone is not earning or don't seem like earning they give up. What do you think?

I spend something between 1 hour to 2 hours, it's really hard to me response every discussion that i see. Anyway, if you have energy and time to spend 8 hours in mylot cool! but to me it's impossible!. I stay 8 hours daily in computer but i enter in mylot a few times a day to see interest discussions and after i make a break. I don't think that is a big deal spend so many hours, if you can do that, just do!
Have a nice day!

It's quite an achievement to spend more than 8 hours a day on Mylot and I admire those who so much determination and inspiration to participate in so many discussions in one day;I haven't tried to spend so much time on Mylot, but since the hot summer is approaching,I guess I will spend a few days at home protected from the scorching sun and trying to post as much as possible;even so I will try to distribute my time reasonably to have some breaks;after all,I don't see too many people capable of thinking after more than 8 uninterrupted hours of activity here on Mylot!
