Do You Ever Get The Urge To Shop?

Phew. My other discussion was deleted due to a typo in the title that really irritated me. so, if you already answered this, I'm sorry for the repeat discussion. And if you haven't, well, go for it and respond! I'd love to hear what you have to say!
I had the urge to shop a few days ago. And I went and did indeed shop. I bought a sundress, flip flops, shirt, leggings, craft supplies, necklaces, you name it.
Have you ever had the urge to shop? Have you indulged in this urge and went shopping or did you resist? When was the last time you had the urge to shop? What did you buy?

Shopping! Who could ever resist it especially us ladies?!
I always have the urge to shop whenever I'm in the mall, even when I'm on a shopping ban (which I impose to myself) . Sometimes I'm successful in resisting it, at other times, I'm not . I just have to ensure that the things I buy are what I really need. The last time I went shopping was the other week, in preparation for a weekend getaway that time.

Oh yes. Shopping. So hard to resist!
Oh. A weekend getaway. That's a good excuse to shop.
Ah. A sopping ban? I tend to just not put money in my wallet so I can't buy anything if I don't want to spend the cash!

I always have the urge to shop specially if there are sale items but I have to control myself because of this tough economy, every penny counts. I must be wise in spending money. I always go for needs not for wants. If I can still manage without that certain stuff that are on sale, I will not spend although there is an urge inside me to buy it.

I know whatcha mean. I like sale items too. I am trying to cut back on what I buy, but sometimes you just need that little thing to make you feel better, you know?

I do sometimes get the urge to shop. I buy myself things sometimes but other times I go out and buy stuff for my son or my husband. I try not to do it too often though because I'm trying to save some money. I do like to shop sometimes though. I think it kinda relaxes me. :-)

Yes, it is kind of relaxing, isn't it? It's like a sigh of relief. Something just for you.
Sometimes I shop and sometimes I don't. But I get the urge sometimes too even if I have no money!

Hi, Jill!
Hmm. Well, it doesn't matter what you shop for! Home goods work just fine!

Was it just for a typo?!
I responded to the previous discussion, and I was surprised when I got the notification that it got deleted.
Anyway, I think my response there was about my urge to shop something for the house. I think it was for the backyard, or gardening.
I couldn't remember exactly.

Yes. I reported it. The typo drove me crazy for some reason. I hated how it probably confused some people.
I like to shop in general. Sorry you can't remember!

Oh YES definitely! Shopping is my outlet if i feel down, or I just want to treat myself. but mostly when I'm down. I have to just buy a new blouse or shoes, then I feel good again. =

Is that the reason they gave you for deleting this? I have an urge to lose weight, then I can shop my own closet. I do need new bras. I actually broke down at the beginning of the season and got a good new swimsuit and paid a lot more for it than I usually do. I am out of work, and I am not sure that my unemployment is going to continue, so I mostly shop for food.

I actually reported it. That typo really set me off.
Good luck with losing weight! Maybe reward yourself with a new piece of clothing and going shopping!

You must have good self control!
I like to browse as well. I'm pretty good at not spending what I don't have though. I don't usually use my credit card, except online for books.

I always get this urge, particularly when I have had a good day at work and know that I have earned a fair amount of money that day. The thing that I do though, is that if I've earned say $100 in a day, I will go online or to the shopping centre and end up spending way more than that amount, meaning that I might as well just have taken the day off work in the first place. But never mind, I love shopping, and I love the feeling that I get when I find some new clothes which just look absolutely amazing on me. I like to be able to look in the mirror and realise that I'm not as bad looking as I think I am, and sometimes you just need some nice new clothes to be able to do that.

I agree. It's nice to see yourself in another light with wonderfully fitting new clothes. It makes you feel good. And everyone needs that every now and then!
Oh no! Maybeb you should put half of that money you earn in the bank and actually shop in stores other than online. Might save you some money!

Hi Stephanie Ann C: This actually happends to me when I get my monthly payment but I try my best to buyt the things I need, I make financial plans because if you invest your money on the first thing that comes to your mind you won't enjoy your money. I also spend part of my money on the things I enjoy the most: collecting CDs, DVDs, buying a wii for me.

Okay I was confused when I saw the notifier but then see your comment below. Okay once again, I repeat you should have taken me to get the new sandals and tops, I would have had a blast with you. lol
I don't pay out of pocket for any clothing and or accessories I shop for because I am still a name brand bill board, but you knew that. lol...
The only thing I get an Urge to do is respond to your discussions.

I do actually need sandals and didn't pick up any. Let's go!
I pay out of pocket for clothing because well, I don't like using my credit card. I usually only use it online.

Yes I have my share of those times! It was only yesterday. I bought jacket, umbrella, underwears...I can't buy dresses, skirts, and all because when I was at the mall I didn't like the present designs and cuts.
My urge to shop also extends to grocery items like tonkatsu sauce, different spices, etc.
And by the way, does food tripping count? I had that yesterday :)

Of course food shopping counts! I never have the urge to do that though. My mother does that kind of shopping! I do the fun shopping. lol
Ah yeah. i didn't find many shirts I liked when I went shopping. I got two fairly plain ones. I saw a shirt that looked like it had three sleeves. Like what is going on there with fashion?!

You never get the urge to shop? Wow!
There's gotta be a middle ground. She shouldn't buy everything that she sees and likes. She should at least use it!

Yes, I always have the urge to shop. Shopping is for women, but sometimes I buy things that are not necessary or I have almost the same type of dresses. So, before I shop I take a look at my closet first and see which I need to buy. During shopping, if the item I want is too expensive, I won't buy it, and leave. After a week and I still want it, that's the time I go back and buy it. It helps a lot. Saves money and can help you decide if you really need the item. Women are always compulsive during shopping, this might help you, manage.

Shopping can be for guys too! Like for technology and stuff. My boyfriend loves new technology and so do I!
Yes. I don't like buying expensive things too. I avoid them like the plague! I usually take coupons with me as well. They're quite the money saver!
