i cant remember when the day i received best response here in mylot, and i dont want to expect too because i know that there are more people here more clever and smart than me in a way in commenting or responding to a discussion, still my fault why i miss best response,LOL,because i usually comment to a discussion posted after three weeks ago.
do you also miss this best response??or do you always receive this best response...

Hi there,
I don't always receive the best response, though I do quite often. I am okay without not receiving it because when I enter discussions I do so honestly and do the best to my abilities with good intentions. So really for me no expectations at all, just having fun and providing useful information wherever I can.

-nods in agreement- You give pretty good responses though! No matter if you get the best response on here or not!

I don't always receive the best response and honestly, I don't usually look for it. I write the best response I can write and if the creator of the discussion likes it, I'm glad and if he/she doesn't, then oh well, I tried my best. The best response is just a nice incentive for me.

It sure is as it gives us little sense of appreciation. I have read a great deal of your all over the Lot and find them well thought and very sincere.

Well, many people would think that just because I have been a member here for over 4 1/2 yrs that I would get a lot of Best Responses. Well, I still do get them from time to time, and it does feel good, but a lot of times it depends on how quick I can respond back to New discussions as well. Personally though, I would not let it bother you. Just come in here and post when you can, and enjoy. When you quit stressing about little things like this, greater things can happen.

I rarely get a best response, but then again, I rarely go to mylot so no hard feelings. It feels good to have a best response though, it feels like I've done well in answering or commenting on a question. I don't mind not getting a best response, I actually like it better when the poster replies to my comments.

I don't get best responses everytime I post here but I did have a few bests before. I don't miss it though but being hailed as best response would be such an honor already for the starter to consider and acknowledge my response as best from the many responders.

I have done both. Gotten some and also have found discussions months older and still want to reply on them because they interest me.
I just responded to a discussion that was started over a year ago.
I just happened to find the discussion and the interest.
So now I have a new interest added even though the discussion was a year ago.
Its all good.
Good Luck with getting a best response! And your commenting is fine.
Just be yourself, someone will like one of your answers and surprise you!

Hello Dear Asliah! I have gone through your profile and noted that you have joined 8 months back and so far you have received 14 Best Responses and the lat one being a fort night back! I think this is fairly good performance! Why are you getting so frustrated when you have received a Best Response just two weeks back? There are many members on this site who hardly have any best Responses! By the grace of my friends and well wishers of this forum I do have a good number of Best Responses! I used to get lot of good responses previously when I used to be very selective in responding to a discussion! I used to participate n a discussion which was of my real interest! There I never used to look if it was started by friend or not! For me the person who posted the discussion was of no concern at all. Then I used to get quite a few Best Responses from the members! Now with the changing times, I have got more dependable friends on this forum and I try to be more around them and participate in their discussions by commenting and having receiving back comments again commenting back and thus I spend most ofthe time like this now a days! Because of this I hardly left with many discussions to attend in order to respond them, as I have limited time at my disposal!
I think to receive a Best Response you need to touch the heart ofthe person who posts the discussion with your rsponse! We can o this thing only if we are honest and sincere in our response ! I always try to be sincere and honest here on this forum as for me this forum is meant for having a nice time, where I can spend some good quality time with my friends to relax, after a day's hectic work! Many a times I come on this forum in between the work to give a couple of comments either in my initiated discussion or in other's discussion! Thus really speaking though I become happy whenever I am getting a Best Response and I sincerely reciprocate it to the person who does it for me. But even if I fail to get any Best Response to my response, I really don't feel bad as there are many people who are much better than me in expressing their views and they too are honest and sincere like me! I always appreciate these people for their efforts to impress the person who initiates a discussion!
Thanks for the discussion, I liked participating in it!

Thats right my friend asliah. Even, I had forgotten when did I received my last best response here. Even, many of members here forgot to give their rating for the discussions and responses from other members. I think, new members here doesn't know about best response or rating of discussions over here.
At first when I get a best response I use to be very happy to give my best comment for each discussion that I was attending. Those kind of best response or rating Really, I miss you rating and best response.

Hi,
Best Response does not ensure guarantee that the one you have selected is the best. I have also seen that people out here select a BR within an hour where there are four to five responses.
Sometime the response that should have received a BR does not get and one far below average is selected rather.
I have received so many BR so far. And some time I do not get for a long time. It however does not affect me.
It is not the number of how many BR you received but how many quality discussion you have posted.

No, actually I don't even care about this response thing on mylot. Is not that I don't want to do my best to improve my writing, or trying to dedicate to mylot and make it more professional on commenting and posting discussions. It was just different people have different criteria on determine what is "best response", what is not. I will do my best to post the "best response", that is all.

Yesterday, i was so happy to see from my inbox that i received 3 best responses. I always get a best response and to date they are at least 40+ and i am so proud of them!
Not that i am smart, but maybe i am more experienced in life being older than some persons here.

Like you say there are loads of people that are on here, so i would not worry to much about getting a best response.I have had a few best responses and i also give out best responses, but i tend to give out a job lot of best responses.I think that there are alot of people that never give a best response.
