You may have seen this already. I think Mason has a page on Facebook. Mason is a precious dog that back in April was laying on the back porch of his owner's house when one of the tornadoes swept through Alabama destroying the home & sweeping Mason off the porch. His owners thought they'd NEVER see Mason again...that is until...Mason showed back up in town dehydrated & walking on 2 broken legs. Mason has had his broken legs set & he is now wearing splints on his 2 front legs. He has been fed & watered regularly & will eventually be returned to his owners who are in the process of rebuilding their home & their lives!!! Mason is the ONLY one who know how far away the tornado took him, but it has taken him over a month to return home!!! What do you think of Mason's dedication to his owners???

Now, that story really proves that dog is a man's best friend.
Dogs are always loyal and faithful to their master.
Mason must have been loved well by his owners that despite his broken legs, he still struggled to get back to them.
Dogs are really very lovable pets.
Their dedication to their owners is remarkable.
I hope all people will appreciate not only their dogs but also their other pets, for they too have this thing called-LIFE!

Dogs have an amazing amount of love in their hearts & loyalty beyond imagination!!! I'd love to believe my furbabies could find their way home, but you never know!!! If you think about it, this dog was swept off the porch & carried who knows how far away. He had left NO scent behind & just had to use his own common sense!!! Apparently dogs have MORE common sense than most people give them credit for having!!!

Bless that darling pup.
That is touching and admirable.
I do hope that the family is seeing him whenever they can, to also show their love and happiness in seeing him back.
Thanks for sharing that, Marissa! (I'm your fan, being notified whenever you post!). :o)

I saw Mason's story on a tv new report. Amazing that he walked/crawled so long on broken legs to get back home. I don't usually watch the reports of injured animals and will turn my head away when they come on. It just hurts me to see these animals suffering. But somehow this story slipped through my filters. I'm glad he is going to be okay.

I had read a short news item that let me know he was OK, so I dug up the video to see what this brave little canine looked like!!! Can you imagine the elation Mason's family must be feeling right now??? Hopefully his owner's home & lives will be back in order just about the same time Mason will be well enough to be allowed to return home!!!

I have seen the story of Mason in the news. What a heart warming story it is!! It is such a 'feel good' act and it strengthens my respect for love between dogs and their owners. I love hearing the dog rescue stories too. How many times dogs have saved their owners lives in fires, etc. Dogs are indeed man’s best friend. Where else can one get that kind of unconditional love…

I have 4 dogs to be grateful for. They were all rescue dogs and they all have wonderful lives now, even though they all have their own issues. They are always glad to see me, glad to be around me and glad to give me love anytime. You can't beat the unconditional love from dogs - it's just flat out true.
I love my babies!

WELCOME TO MYLOT!!!
I have 2 Black Labs & a Jack Russell Terrier & I get more love than I know what to do with!!!! Both of my females were rescued babies. One was 2 hours away from being put down. I swear she knew it as she's the MOST thankful of the 3!!!

Yup, that's some dog...
The time it took him to return, though, shouldn't be used as an indicator of how far away he was blown. After all, he was injured and probably could only drag himself a yard or two at a time. Still, it would make a good, feel-good-type Disney movie, wouldn't it?

GOOD point!!! If my memory serves me correct, that tornado stayed on the ground for nearly 40 miles & I just automatically assumed that he was taken a long way away from home. One guy's wallet was sucked out of his hip pocket & was found over 2 miles away in a tree. Since it was Mason's front legs that were broken I can only once again assume that he couldn't cover much distance at a time!!! Whether it was 1 block, 1 mile, or more, it still shows the determination of a VERY loyal dog!!! Disney would be crazy to not jump on this story & the family could sure use the money to rebuild their lives!!!!

Hi! dogs are really man's best friend. They are able to love their masters more than themselves. But I beg to disagree with your title I think it is God's love that is stronger. But the story is really nice and touching.
