Lately I've been having bad headaches and sometimes migraines. Even after I take my medication the headache is still there. Like nothing eases the pain. Im in irritable moods, any kind of noise bothers me and I don't want to be bothered most of the time. I do have nerve damage in my neck and the Dr says that's the reason for my headaches...is that true or should I get it checked out for being something else? Im afraid because my G'ma had a brain tumor removed but im not sure of her symptoms. Im not sure if that runs in our family or not. Should I follow my 1st mind and have it thoroughly checked?

Back and neck problems can definitely cause migraines. I can attest to that. You might want to start icing your neck, or applying heat if you'd rather. Also, try some gentle yoga poses for your back and neck. You could look up yoga for neck pain online and probably find some tutorials on that if you want. Also, caffeine is always good for migraines, especially if you don't drink it often.
You probably don't have a tumor, but if you are worried, then by all means get it checked out. If I were you, I'd go off the nerve damage idea and try to see if you can relieve your pain that way first.
May I ask what caused the nerve damage and how bad is it exactly? Because that could really make a difference.
Another thing you might try is going to a chiropractor if you can afford it.

I've done acupuncture and in my opinion it made it worse. I had a procedure done where the Dr numbs the area and injects an epidural to kill the nerve and that didn't work. I was hurt at work which resulted in the damaged nerve and bulging disk. According to the Dr the damage is moderate in my C4-C5 and severe in my C6-C7. I will try the yoga thing but I have a T.E.N.S unit and a tentioner for my neck. Sad to say it really doesn't work and my Dr doesn't suggest a chiropractor because of where the damage is at

Well that all just sucks. The only thing I can think of is maybe some hot stone massage or something like reiki healing.

Oh wow I've never tried that before. I'll check around in my city ti see if there's a Dr that does that because acupuncture was no good for me...Thank you

You should always get yourself checked even in the slightest of doubts. Time is of the essence. EVery second matters. Hopefully its just stress and work. . .

The best thing you can do is to let it checked by a professional doctor who specializes in nerve issues. It would be better that you have a routine checkup so that you can guarantee that nothing goes wrong.
Simple headache can normally be treated by rest or by taking over-the-counter pain reliever but if the headache gets severely bad, then it is something that we have to take into consideration.
I just hope that everything is going to be okay at your end. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Happy mylotting!

I've tried to rest...maybe I rest too much or not enough. But the Dr currently treating me for this that's one of his specialties. I'll stress the issue to him so that he can have a cat scan or whatever it is I may need to look into this further...Thank you

I sometimes wonder about this myself! I have been experiencing the occasional headache although I'm starting to attribute this to constantly gazing at my computer monitor for too long. I then go and make myself a cup of tea and relax away from the computer for a bit. In relation to your own situation have you seen the doctor about your migraines? I think it's always best to err on the side of caution and you definitely should go and have a checkup to see if you can try and establish what is wrong if anything!
This is something I always do and I probably irritate my doctor at times but who cares, that doesn't bother me as the way I see it, my health is of paramount importance and nothing else matters! I really wish you well with this and you should give us an update to let us know how you got on and if you received any answers. Andrew

Thank you Drew and im rarely on my computer for anything, I usually do everything from my phone. My phone is my computer lol but I have brought it to my Dr attention and he said because of my nerve damage in my neck is the reason why im having these issues. I will stress the issue to him again and get it looked into deeper. I already have heart issues and other stuff and im too young to be going thru this but its all in God's hands. I will definitely keep you guys posted. Thank you so much. Im emailing my Dr now about it

That's right follow your instinct and have yourself thoroughly checked. Better yet, you can consult another doctor.
With your grandma who had a brain tumor, you better be sure of yourself too.

Thank you and I will...my Dr now is pretty good and accurate but it doesn't hurt to get a Dr with that expertise
