There are unfair teachers that are teaching, that don't need to be teaching.

I am a parent and just because I am not a teacher, that does not mean that I don't know anything. I am really upset right now, because I had this teacher come and comment on my discussion without knowing what she was talking about. She went in all over her head from what she has been taught from training and she took my discussion totally off track. I have to be honest with you, since my kids have been in school, there are teachers that are mean. They bully students and they say things that they should not be saying. When my kids come home and tell me things, I find it hard to ever believe that teachers would be so cruel to their students. I know that they can because I have witnessed a teacher treating her student's like crap. I was in Early Child Hood Training, and the teacher was very cruel to her student's. If I had the strength, I would just home school all of my kids. I am a parent that attends the conferences, I help my children to learn at home. I do everything that I possibly can to ensure that my child will succeed in school. If my child lost a book, I will pay for it. But of my child never brought the book home, and the library book stayed in the classroom, then I wonder how is my child still responsible for this book. It is lost at school. Oh, don't tell me, I will still have to pay for this library book... Right now, I have some things to say to certain members on here, but I don't want to say it because I am afraid that if I do, my account may be suspended. So, I am really getting to the point, that I am thinking about taking a long break from myLot!
Oh, and did I tell you all that I am like a psychic? Yes, I have the ability to sense things. And while I have been a member I know that there are actually females on here that don't like me. If I gave you all the names it would shock you. Yes, they still post to my discussions but they can't stand me. So I will say to them and anyone else that wants to pick a fight with me that:
"No weapon formed against me shall prosper." I mean this! My anointing with God is so powerful, that it is best that anyone be real careful of how they treat me because when you hurt me, you are messing with fire. A fire that you can't put out!

Oh cream I am sorry that someone took your discussion out of content. Do not allow anyone to push you away from myLot. You are a long time veteran member here and as you said you do know the rules and instead of venting your frustration you rather protect your account. This is very kind of you as you do have opinions and have been here long enough and have seen it all.
Let us focus on why you are here; you know it is the best place to vent because many of us are always willing to listen. It is a choice for anyone to respond and sometimes I do not know why some intentionally cause frustration.
I don't blame you for not wanting to pay for a book that never made it to your home. It would be like admitting that the book was intentionally stolen and that is not true. You have continually told us that you are very responsible mother where as you search your child's bag daily. Therefore you would know if that book made it home. We are not talking about a teenager here where you do not have control. Both your kids are doing great in school because of your continual responsibility.
Yes some teachers can be cruel, I have had my share and because it is a very long story let's just say the teacher was fired.
Do not take a break as you know you enjoy myLot and we enjoy having you here.

Hi Mrs. Hatley
We will continue to positively respond to cream as we know her value here as a member and friend. We will continue to ask her to stay here as she can take breaks but not because she is pushed into them. She is an assets here to myLot.
MyLot needs valuable members to continue have the site thriving and we as her friends need her here so we can continue to participate and relate to her.
She certainly has done nothing wrong, everyone can place an opinion but harassment is an issue altogether and not acceptable.
Cream do remember there are a lot more of us who do want you to stay.

I think the quality of teaching in this country crashed to the bottom of this new century. I suppose now in the college courses of education they don't grade student teachers on ethical composure anymore.

Personally I think this can really happen with any profession, on here, in real life, or wherever a person might be. I know that when dealing with people and things there will be people who will make quick judgements, etc. and sometimes these are not as you would expect them to be. People may not always see things eye to eye like you do as well, but should be able to sympathize a little especially when posting in here.

Was it just that teacher's opinion on your discussion? I mean if she was hateful than by all means that is uncalled for. But if it is just her opinion we can't really do anything about it. Sometimes I wish I hadn't started discussions because I don't like the responses I get. And sometimes there really aren't any necessarily wrong with a response it just "rubs" me the wrong way.

There are some teachers who are like angels and kids love them. There are afew that shouldn't be teaching. It is as if they couldn't get good enough marks to do what they actually set out to do.
As far as you being psychic. I think that is cool. My daughter is as well.
People should all be careful of how they treat eachother. Some people are very sensitive and get hurt easily. Others are alittle off and need to be careful as to how they move forward. Hope all is well and that you don't have any problems.

I hope it was not my comment that upset you. I just wanted you to approach the head with the full story and see what he or she says about this. As from your post its clear that you have been handed out unfair treatment because of some policy formed long back. May be school head can intervene talk to the class teacher and the librarian and sort the issue out. Don't leave mylot because there are more friends here then the foes. DO go and see head of the school and ask her to talk to the class teacher who obviously knows the whole issue and can vouch for the child.

I know there are good teachers out there. Many will stand up for others of them just because they "know" them but they have not seen them in the class room with the children on a daily basis.
There are bad teachers too.
I know for a fact of a few of them that were skirted around from one school to another because they did not want to fire them because they were "teachers", so they just kept sending them to different classes to teach and different school too. They would get into trouble one place and be sent some place else. Until finally they could not be sent anywhere else or a parent would finally find out about what had been happening and go to the board to get them out of teaching, fired for good.
Some people are just not meant to be teachers even though they went to school for that.
I sat outside my sons class waiting for the teacher to finish what she was saying to the class before I entered the class. I heard more than saw her as she was yelling at my child, (in kinder garden/head start)She even cursed him telling him to get his head up off of the desk. I got up off the bench outside the door and went inside. She was shocked to see me, so was the class. She had the yard stick held over my childs head and had been hitting him with it.
I gave her a look that would kill let me tell you. I got my son and we went straight to the office. I told the principle I wanted a meeting with that teacher asap and I told her what happened.
Now it was in my sons records written in red which they are suppose to pay attention to that he has severe migraines and when one starts he is to put his head down or lay down immediately and I am to be called. Also, he has seizers.
One of my other children had seen him on the play ground and called me and told me he said he had a headache that is why I went to the school to begin with.
I told the principle that teacher had no business doing what she did with my child and that if I had not seen and heard it myself I may not have believed it.
She told me the story of that teacher that she was suppose to be a high school teacher and she had too many complaints and was shuffled from this school to that one and this school was her 5th one. I was apalled!!! First off they knew how she was and they put her with 5 year old children to mold and prepare for school.
That one lost her job because not only was I there to say what she had done. I was a member of the PTA and well known there. Other mothers found out through their children that day I picked up my son what happened and they told me their stories.
I told them I asked for a meeting with the principle and the teacher. They asked to be there too so they could speak up.
This is one of several incidents that I know of where a teacher has yelled and even cursed at and went as far as telling a young child in the 4th grade or lower that they were no good and not worth anything and hit them or just belittled them every chance they got. I know one child that got a complex and had to have mental help after a teacher abused him so much in class. She even threw his work at him.
The cursing and work being thrown at him and other was seen by the mother. She went to pick him up for a doctor appt.
So yes, some teachers are bad teachers .....unfortunately!

hi cream well I know I am not one of them that doesn't like you.over the last couple of years I have come to admire how you care very much abuot the schooling of your children. I think thats fantastic as children whose parents also care about their education I feel do much better in school. My parents were like that too and when something was wrong my dad was at the school and talking to the professor or one of my teachers to get
it straightened out.i know myself from myown experience years back there ate some women who should never have become teachers specially in grade school. I guess the situation is not much different now either. Some women just do not have the character to be a good teacher and really care for the studetns she is to teachl. When you have a teacher who does like my second grade teacher did to me, they just should not be around small children. I was not making my ms to suit her in pen manship class so she whacked my hand with a metal edged ruler and it cut all my knuckles. I was crying as I ran out of the classroom and up the street in our small town to my dads office. He was the town doctor. He bandaged my hand then took me back to school so he could chew out the teacher, I remember yet He said" If I ever hear of you hitting my child again or any other pupil here, I will see you are fired immediately. Now Iam taking my daughter home. You hurt her and she has had enough for one day. Miss Thornton I meant just what I said."
So these things still keep happening in schools I take it.
Cream do not let a few mylotters chase you away from here. I and all your other mylot friends appreciate you for yuor wonderful care of your children. I have always enjoyed your discussions and tried to respond as much as I could. stay here and know you do have friends here Cream. okay? God is with you so no one can stand against you.

Hi Cream,
I know what you mean by some teachers being bullies I know several. I also know some teachers are good teachers and therefore if they are real teachers on this site they may not want to hear about the bad ones.
For instance my SIL is a good person and a great teacher, my sister is a teacher and I pity any child she teaches because she isn't a good person. Teachers are people they aren't anything special just because they spent five years in college getting a teachers degree. People are people regardless of their professions and some people can't see that.
Don't let someone bully you away from mylot cream. It isn't right. I let someone do that to me once and I still can't even make smiley faces again. lol =D
