I went shopping after a loooong time today Had lots of fun but my leg is hurting a lot!! Anyway I was looking around for stuffs to buy then I see this woman. She was with her kid and, we had indentical clothes on !! I really get embarrassed when I see someone wearing the same thing as me so I just went opposite directions. This is maybe the 3rd time this has happened to me.
Has it ever happened to you? Seeing someone with the same outfit as you?? How do you feel?? Please share

That happens most especially when bought through popular brochures and so I myself, I make sure that if I am going to buy from a catalog, I prefer plain colored one rather than printed, however as this happen just like yours at least you know the cost of the clothe she is wearing.

Yes, i have experienced that too. However, i saw the girl first as i passed by a mall's comfort room. She was walking towards the comfort room and she didn't see me.
So, i hurried going out of the mall, as i was already on my way home then.
However, bragging aside , she didn't carry the blouse well, like i did!

My siblings and I are not twins but we had identical outfits almost everytime our parents bought us clothes, but with different colors. I loved wearing them then. Aww miss those good old days
Anyway thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day!!

Hiya TG,
Once it happened to me. One of my Friends a British Woman had bought the same Jumper as me in a Shop well I think that it was the same Shop.
We found out when we went to a Dinner and we were both wearing the same.
However I did not bother as it did not bother me at all. I thought it was quite funny she however did not find it quite so amusing.xxx

Hiya TG,
Just got my response swallowed up again grrr. This Jacket which I meant to say it was actually was bought in England and she had bought one the same time as me in the same Store but in another City. Here I would not say that great minds think alike as she took to wearing that Jacket in a lot of the Dinners we had then. But then she had loads of other expensive clothes to put on which I did not have.
I on the contrary did not wear the Jacket again at the Dinner. It did not feel right but she did not seem to care about it.
Yes I had a great Dinner thank you very much too at least that time in spite of her glaring at me when she saw me.
Have given up trying to figure People out who behave like this hardly worth it is it.
Have a great Day too.xxx

I guess I don’t have a reason to feel embarrassed. This happens to most of us and I think it’s just fine because that would mean you have the same taste when it comes to style or color. I’m aware as well that the product I bought is not the only copy made by that company or manufacturer so it already should be expected. I just feel funny whenever I met someone wearing the same shirt as mine because it feels like we’re twins.

That was actually a wonderful idea to design our own shirt but I wasn’t just too creative to do that. This might as well give you some opportunity to earn. I observed that feeling embarrassed in this kind of situation tends to be more on women than men. I’m just sure why is that.

Hehe I think it's simple. Just buy a plain T-shirt and cut them up and wear them. I don't know if guys wear cut up T-shirts though
Anyway I like them coz they look pretty cool and funky hehe. And hmm i had never thought of earning money through them

I wish I thought of it as you do but no I am really very embarrassed and tend to run away. though it has not happened very often, has happened a few times and I ran away everytime LOL you know what I do these days. I try to cut up my t-shirts and design my own so that it happens less often hehe!!
Ayway thanks for the response

yes yes yes and i think it's funny and a little embarrassing...i was attending an activity at my son's school and was feeling pretty wearing my blouse when suddenly i spotted a woman who looked familiar...then i realized why she looked familiar, it's because she was wearing the same blouse as mine...i felt like "oh my gosh!!!" first thing that came to my mind was i wanna go home and change, but can't...i just comforted myself by thinking "oh well, i look better wearing this than her". lol

Personally I guess it would depend on what type of outfit you would be wearing as to if it would bother me or not. Sometimes it might actually flatter me to know someone else has the same Tastes as me. I used to own a top a couple of yrs. back that I knew someone else with that same top and we used to actually sometimes plan days to wear the same top. But if it was unusual it would be a little odd seeing someone else wearing it especially if it was someone quite a bit heavier than me.

As a guy, I won't feel embarrassed about it, because it was just a coincidence. I don't understand why girls always get bothered about it. I won't make a big deal on the clothing stuff. So, you might have to pick another piece of clothes that is rare for someone to wear on the street. Otherwise, you won't like it at all.

So far, this has not happen to me yet. If ever this will happen to me, I guess I'll so the same as you did. I'll walk to opposite direction and will feel embarrassed. But this did happen to my daughter once at a party in their school. She already knew before hand that there will be two of them who'll be wearing the same style of the dress and color too. What they did on that they was, they had their pictures taken together with the same dress and post it on their facebook.

Hehe I do that at times too. i have this best friend of mine and we sometimes buy the same thing and plan on wearing them at the same day. We almost look like twins, even if it's just coz of the cloth we're wearing . Anyway it's fun like that but if some unknown, or more wrst, known person wears the same dress, I'm so running the hell out of there!

This happened to me once! TO make it worse, the item I had been wearing was something I bought on sale and it was extremely cheap! It's shallow but I hate to look cheap so I was really embarrassed by it.
On the bright side, it looked better on me though! :)

Hi!
I may have experienced the same thing, I just can't remember but this would really be embarrassing! I would have walked in the opposite direction just like what you did.
I do remember seeing a woman wearing clothes that was exactly like mine. Because we probably bought it from one direct-selling brand. It was a good thing I wasn't wearing mine then because that would be really embarrassing. But after that, I did not wear that blouse of mine anymore. I was afraid I would run into her again and we'll both be wearing the same clothes! I ended up giving away that blouse.

I was travelling by bus one day and I saw a man wearing the same top as I was wearing. I did not wear that top again. I too tried my best to avoid him and luckily he got off at the next stop! We all want to look unique and I am fully with you when you say that it did not make you happy looking at someone wearing the same kind of outfit!

This used to be an embarrassment but today, fashion critics who catch celebrities wearing the same outfit would choose "Who wore it better?" I had also been in that situation and yes, it did cause some amount of embarrassment.

We have exactly the same experience when I was strolling in a mall one Sunday afternoon after visiting my mom. I was wearing my favorite green shirt with v-cut neckline and a skinny jeans. While walking excitedly towards a popular botique, I saw a lady inside the botique wearing exactly the same shirt as mine! It really feels awkward and weird at the same time. It is really embarrassing, especially she saw me too. I didn't know if I'll just ignore her and enter the botique all the same or if I'll back off and run to the opposite direction. I chose the latter and head straight to another botique to impulsively buy a totally different shirt. I ended up wearing a new but unwashed clothe that might have been tried by another person before I decided to pay for it. That's what happens when you panic!Hahaha!
