your good work without charity is useless. what is the essence of your religion?

What is charity?
From international version in the bible. It says in I Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love". Love is charity and charity is love. Love is an action word.
No matter how much you know about love but if you don't show it to your fellow, it is just useless. It's all in vain.
You are like a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. It means when somebody ask help from you and you can just easily decline it even if you have the capacity to give. You are a hypocrite.
Love is so hard to fathom. The Lord commanded us to love our neighbor. But why is it that the neighbor can also be your best enemy.
Who's your neighbor? Your neighbor is your friends, relatives, siblings, co-worker and employer.
How do you show your love to them.
Do you love them just the way you love yourself?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
We go to church and pray to God but when we go out, we don't really care to our fellow.1 person likes this

Tzedakah is a very important mitzvah in the Jewish faith. It is not done publicly so much as privately. You must not ever embarrass the person receiving tzedakah from you. However, even the poorest Jew must preform tzedakah and tithe. You should even tithe 10% of the tzedakah that you receive, because there is always someone worse off than yourself.

It is more blessed to give when you do it in silent... I mean you don't need to broadcast what you have given but instead let the recipient tell the people that they got it from you. Giving is not commanded to rich people only. It is more blessed to give when nothing has left for you. when you give the last drop of your resources.

Doing charity activities to your family, friends and especially to deprived people and enemies unconditionally is the true essence of LOVE . We all created in the name of LOVE . The HOLY FATHER give his begotten SON for HIS Love to us . Following HIS teachings will lead us to the true meaning of LOVE.

Religion is just our affiliation to where we belong to fellowship with our fellow christian. Religion can't save you. The true religion is your relationship with God. You communicate with God through prayers and reading HIs word which is the Bible. You believe in Him as the living God, the creator of Heaven and earth. You faith in Him. Without faith you are nothing...
