Hello mylotters..
Which do you prefer, to travel by land, air, or water/sea? In my case, I do prefer water/sea, because in land and on air my motion sickness attacks.. I hate the turnings, ups and downs on land travel, in air I hate the rocky feeling and the pressure in my ears.. I really don't know why i love travelling on water, i just feel comfortable and secured even if it's also have a wavy, bumpy and rocky, etc thing.. =)

The fastest is by plane coz no disturbant around you. Yo can get maximum speed but slow departure. Coz we have to wait a lot of people there. The safes is by sea of course. The percentage to survive if we travel by sea better than by car or plane. the most flexible is to travel by car if it in the land. Cos it is easy way to go anywhere

well, so far the only "sea" travel I've had have been ferries, the longest one was from Washington (state) to Victoria B.C. Canada (and back.)
It sort of depends, if I'm going a long way, I want to fly so I can spend my time THERE and not GETTING there.
However, I drove to Kansas earlier this year and part of the trip was the driving, but also so I would have a car while I was there.
I would like to take a cruise someday, but I suspect its going to be a while.

So, you somehow love all kinds of transportation. That's good that you don't have any discomforts like motion sickness during travel.
Thanks for the response. =)

all of the above have different pros and cons. The advantage of traveling by air is you will arrive in your destination in a short time and very convenient for the time, but it is dangerous when the plane crash, usually no one survived in the air travel. Traveling by land is you can manage your own time to rest or proceed but if you are not careful driving, accidents are prone to this kind of travel. By water is good because you sleep and relax in the boat, but when typhoon comes in the middle of the sea at midnight and the boat will sink, you are still at stake. So, each has its own good and bad. Whatever you are comfortable with.. go ahead.

I definately love to travel by land especially road. i also love to drive and thats why i love travelling by road. whenever i get the opportunity i go on short drives with my friends and at time on teh weekends i also plans trips that are not too far away.. air travel is also something that i like and many a times due to the distance we are forced to travel by air as it is the fastest mode of transportation. but nevertheless road travel will always be my first choice..

That's good,If that's the thing you are comfortable with..Of course, there are a lot of instances that we are forced to travel in which we are not prepared and not comfortable with, but we don't have a choice, we should sometimes face the fears we are into. thanks for the response. =)

I prefer to travel by land especially by train. Then I can look out at the landscapes the train passes in the daytime. During the night time sleeping in a bunk on the train is very comfortable. I don't mind traveling by bus if there isn't a train available. I have to travel by plane to go to long haul destinations. To avoid ear pain I put ear planes in my ears. These screw into my ears to make the pressure changes painless and amazingly these work fine. I don't like to travel by ferry when the sea is rough. This can make me get really badly seasick. Traveling by air is fast but travel by air is way more enjoyable. When traveling by sea I can get off at sea if I need to but I can at a train station really easily.

Ideally i would say sea! I love the idea of kicking back on a cruise ship with my son and travelling around the world in complete comfort and luxury.. Im not talking small vessel although i love all boats and enjoy outings on the sea in any size boat, but i mean cruise ships with cinemas, pubs, casinos, gyms, pools and spas, saunas, tennis courts the whole works something amazing you would never want to leave. I would worry about my son going over the side everyday of my life, which could be a little drawback lol
coming back to reality.

I am really not the biggest fan of traveling all that far. Perhaps I am just happy where I am. Perhaps I am not one that is really up for adventure a lot of the time. Perhaps I just am someone who feels at ease with not shelling out a lot of money. However, there have been a lot of times where I have ventured out of my comfort zone.
There are many times where I have traveled outside of my little bubble in life. There are many times where I have done it and I have always done it by land. I don't know, there is just something about going by the air or by the sea that makes me a little uneasy. I have always felt like I should be keeping both feet firmly on the ground. To me, that is where I feel like I belong. So yeah, the few times that I have traveled, it has always been by land. That is just the way I tend to roll.

We really do have different views and fears on travelling, travelling on land is good, i think..I will agree on land travel if it is not that far, short distance only..hehe..When I travel on land, buses or any other land transpo, for long distance i take medicine that will counteract my motion sickness.
Well, thank you for sharing. Thanks for the response. =)

Hi martin,
Like you, I love traveling by sea. I grew in a coastal town and I learned to love the wide expanses, the fresh air, and the smell of the sea. I don't mind the up and down movements of the waves, the higher the better as long the seacraft can take it. It adds to the thrill of the ride.
My greatest dream is to travel on a cruise ship to somewhere far from my home, like, the Bahamas, or to one of the Northern cruise to the North American continent. A month or two would be most fine.

I don't really prefer any of the methods. I mean It's a wonderful experience to fly it's almost magical but then my ears always hurt for a while afterwards so it's hard to say.

I love traveling by whatever gets me there the fastest.I would say I hate all means of transportation. I'm going to be bored the majority on the time, regardless if I'm on a plane, boat, or in a car. I don't think traveling by water sounds that appealing. Have you never seen the movie Anaconda?

You're right..any kind of transportation will do as long as we can go to the place as fast as it could.
Hehe..Of course I watched that movie, scary but I think that kind of snake only appears on lakes, rivers or whatsoever. I think so..Somehow you're right, because there are also sharks that may fear us from travelling through water.
Thanks for the response. Enjoy travelling! =)

I think it all depends on the distance I have to cover.
A recent very long trip, almost 4,500 miles, was of course done by plane.
Trips to islands that are not too far are done by water, and I might say I do not really prefer it, but its economic, much cheaper than flights.
Whenever there is a good chance and the distance is acceptable, I like to drive. I find it relaxing, listening to your own music, taking your own breaks when you feel like it, just about doing all you want because you are the owner of the transport means.
Have a good day.

I like to travel via land transportation cause I can view the scenery outside. I love to sit beside window but if we are to travel outside country or provinces that need to cross seas, I'd prefer air transportation than water vessel so it would be fast. I scared wide sea and don't know how to swim.

I prefer to travel by land if it's just a short distance because I always enjoy the beauty of nature and also to be familiar with the place I had gone.I'm fun of keeping in mind the distances between among places and learning what a particular place has to offer. When it comes to long distance travel, I prefer to travel by air because I don't know how to swim and afraid of drowning if some problem occurs.I also love to gaze the beautiful sceneries from above like land and cloud formations plus the short time that it needs to take.

i think i prefer travelling by air to any other mode of travelling.i hate travelling by the road.i hated it since the day i first started travelling by road.i cant even bear to sit in a car or bus or whatever for even like half an hour.i get migraines and feel like puking and find myself getting all frustrated at the people with me in the vehicle and feel very uncomfortable and uneasy.all of this gets me all agitated.i had this poblem since like i ws four years o something..and then after like i got to be 8 o something it had stopped..and now after all these years it has come back again worse than ever.would do anthing to get rid of it.i dont even know what is causing it but it is really affecting a lot of aspects of my life an anyone can imagine.i havent travelled much by the sea though.iand i dont think i will be doin much o sea travelling in the future either.however i do rember this cruise like thing we went on a few years back.we were in a boat with a few faimly and relatives and all that and i got the same puky sensation i get when i used to travel on the roads.fortunately the cruise was almost over by then so it dint get so bad.but i have never felt anything wrong with air travelling...except for when i have had to sit in very small and crammed up flights.other than that i would always prefer air travel to anything else.
