Don't you agree Mylot should have increased earnings all these years?

Hello Mylotters and good day! I was thinking the other day about this "paradox". As many of you know, I had taken a long break from Mylot which kept me off it for around 2 years, during which I tried to swift focus away from Internet. Before this happened, I had tried to reach payout and got paid around $10.04 at something like 550 posts. Since my first posts in Mylot I think almost 5 years have passed. During this time, prices for everything, no matter where you live, have skyrocketed. Car petrol, everyday groceries and foods,no matter where you look at, prices have increased so much. On the other hand, MyLot stays at same levels of earnings. I still try much to manage to reach 30 cents a day, that means there has been no policy of increasing the earnings to keep up with the harder times. I am 100% sure that advertisement earnings for Mylot have increased these years due to the additional popularity it gains as a trustworthy site that always pays. More and more people sign up with it everyday. But the money it pays to us...still same. Have you ever thought about it? Why do they make more and more money, but for years they are keeping us, the community, the reason they are getting rich, with the same amount of cents in the pocket? Please share your views...

I can't agree with you becausee my personal experience is different. I joined myLot over 4 years ago and in the first few months it seemed impossible to reach payout. Now I reach it every month, long before the end of the month, because as time has passed I have understood what is required of us in order to earn. MyLot is not a site for question and answers. It is created for dicsussions and if we do just that, DISCUSS, then we are doing what myLot want and we will therefore be rewarded. Discussing means exchanging thoughts, opinions, ideas, conversing in back and forth comments and furthering the topics. I don't spend hours on here. I am here every day but I am doing other things too. I don't respond to lots of discussions but I DO comment back and forth a lot, even without leaving my own response. I don't start many new discussions either. Just one this month but yesterday I received my payout for last month and today, when the earnings update, I will have reached it for this month too. If we want to earn more here then it is up to us, not myLot, to do what they ask of us.

I am happy to read your response because it indicates I might be doing something wrong. But still I am trying my best, oh well. I will just keep going. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, have a wonderful day.

Thank you for the FR It is not a case of 'doing something wrong' but of doing less of what you could be doing better (if that makes sense). For example (and this is a tip which many have put into practice): if you say 'have a wonderful day', like some say 'happy Lotting' or 'see you around'() at the end of your first comment, it implies that you have finished in this response and that you do not wish to continue discussing further. Some might not return when they see that and therefore you lose a chance to earn some more by commenting again and furthering the topic. Some but not all... it never stops me coming back if I have something else to add

I had never thought of it this day. I just feel like adding a greeting at the end of my responses or discussions, because I find this to be a polite way to indicate I am done talking :) But, of course you are again correct - these should be discussions which will just go on, not just statements. I will try to improve myself :)

This site is more a discussion site exchanging news and views and the earnings are according to me a mere bonus which will not help one get their bread and butter. One needs to be here for several hours of which, you being a veteran will definitely know, even to get the minimum pay out each month and those hours could certainly earn higher earnings if one were to have a regular job. I did some search and got this site which talks about average salaries in the US. http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Country=United_States/Salary and to earn these amounts one needs to put in may be around eight or nine hours a day. But what myLot gives is much more than the money one gets here. One should forget about earning here and socialise happily with friends and well wishers and earn money by holding a regular job.If one is serious about earning for their bread and butter this is not the place. But there is more to life than bread and butter. This is my humble opinion.

I agree with you. Besides we do spend time posting in other forums or communities, which do not even pay, and are way smaller and with less wide topics than Mylot. But truth is sometimes I do feel like earnings should have increased. We are the power of the community here, we keep the wheels running. Shouldn't we be rewarded for our efforts all these years? Thank you for commenting, have a nice day!

The only thing I wanted to highlight was that users should not think that this is their bread and butter. There are other social sites as you say but they don't pay the way myLot pays. Nevertheless nothing like putting forth your thought.

Hello. And good day to you. I so agree that every thing it seems has gone up in price. I can reach 30 cents a day very easily and I work weekly to up my daily average. I have been on Mylot for over three years now. I have heard every argument and demeaning Mylot put down. Mylot should do this or that. I think if people aren't happy with the site, its earning potential or the members who frequent here these people should move on. I know of no site that treats its members better or helps to make it a better place to use than Mylot. And no other site ups its payments to members that I have heard of lately. If you know of one maybe the person that wrote this needs to think about going there. I enjoy Mylot very much and even if I didn't get paid for postings I still would feel the same way.

If I percieved your ideas wrongly then why did you start this discussion? I get very upset with people on here that either want to know what the secret is to making big bucks on here, AND, the ones that feel Mylot is not respecting them for whatever reason. I am very thankful to have Mylot and I depend on it alot so when someone comes along with any negative ideas or opinions I tend to get defensive and not real happy.

I understand what you are thinking and I do agree with you that MyLot should increase their pay, but I don't think that if the MyLotter's payment manager was to read this, they would agree. Yes, MyLot's population in increasing, but that means there are more people that are needing to get paid for their posts and comments. I'm sure that if MyLot had a smaller population, we would get paid more because there would be more money to go around. I think that the only way MyLot would increase the payments, is if MyLot became as popular as Facebook, because then they would have the money to increase our payments. Thank you.

I am pleased Maylot.Yes you are right and all appreciated our lives become more expensive. But is not it better to have a job that they are not obliged to stay here permanently but always mangle revenue if writing.Because many people have no such work.So the better we are pleased that we have.Maylot will decide whether to increa seor decrease the money. nice day!

Of course it is always their managers' job to decide on it. But this is a discussion with no hard feelings, which might catch their attention, and might make them think on it. Have a nice day!

I understand what you are saying. But I can't really complain seeing as I am still a new member of this community. But I feel that, to increase the earning rate together with the ever-growing number of members, Mylot might just opt to have a site where people are required to pay in order to join. Keeping the earning rates as is keeps the site free...I think. And besides, I think this is more of a social site and the earnings side merely a bonus feature. It is not something that we can pin our financial hopes on, as in an actual job or 8-to-5 employer. That is just my take. Everyone is entitled to their's. :)

Yeah that would be nice, but since mylot has to pay everybody that is not going to happen. Pay is not so bad on here anyway one just really has to work at it. Like for me I really can't reach payout in a month because it's just to hard for me it takes me a bit longer to reach pay out, but I am okay with that. I go at my own pace, but I did reach payout a;ready just not in time for the month. To bad for me oh well that just tells me that I need to work harder on here. Since I only could pretty much go on here for like an hour or less. Still I manage with the few time that I am on here since I have to pretty much have to share the computer with my siblings, but it doesn't bother me. I come here and respond to posts and am active for as long as it is my turn so that I can make money and save up and than maybe spend some on ebay or for a book for my college or just to eat something over there. Mylot has helped me in that much so I am thankful that I came across this site and I learned how to earn money on here and when I barely started I had no clue how to earn money on here, but now I do and the people on mylot helped me do that very helpful community. I will never leave this site because i have grown attached tot his site and don't plan to quit anytime soon like my brother he pretty much gave up trying to earn money on mylot because he is not a very patient person and he can't really type fast on here compare to me when he sees me typing my replys to people's discussions. Oh well anyway happy mylotting we all do our best to always reach payout to go shopping yeah.

I cannot reach payout in a month either, but this does not trouble me. I am not the kind of member who will keep checking at earnings to see how well they advance. Somehow I think my topic has generated some negative ideas... I really am satisfied and I am not complaining on the earnings. It is just a discussion on which I am asking your opinions.

let me give my views on this. I have stated something related to this in another place. Number of users has also increased and that makes it not possible for companies to pay more. I am not having statistics. Our top seniors who are in 40000 or 20000 postings range will be able to subscribe. Nowadays for a post like this you get 20 responses means in those years you would have received only 10. Exceptional topics will receive more responses. I am talking of an average topic. at the same time, if we get more well and good. have a good day,

thanks for appreciating my point. You see on advantage of this system -- it can give fruitful occupation to lakhs of people all over the world -- with only calculated investment on the part of company -- people are allowed to fix their own time, subjects --no restriction--if u work more u get more --if u work less u get less. that way these sites are helpful for the companies and also to lakhs of retired and intelligent people like me and you. have a great day.

Makatas i agree with you. As cost of living has been increased in these 5 years and increasing day by day MYLOT should think of it.There must be some reasons why MYLOT is reliable site in terms of paying money that means they are getting more margins otherwise there is no organisation which can survive if it does not earn or make profit.Definitely MYLOT is earning more thats why this is in the market & still paying otherwise there are lot of sites on net which claims to give money but they actually don't because they don't earn that much to give some share of it to the users.I think MYLOT should really think about to make it more popular. I know most of the senior members don't agree with me & will say MYLOT is not an earning site but all of do have some where in our mind to earn & earn more from MYLOT as 20~30 cents are nothing in today's world.
