I'm interested in all you know about caffeine and it's affect on our body. I'm trying to stop drinking drinks that have a lot caffeine. I know it's better to not drink caffeinated drinks. So all the information that I get will help me in my goal to stay away from it. How do you feel about caffeine?

Actually, I love to drink coffee. But I limit it one cup per day because caffeine has positive and negative effects in our body. Caffeine is a great source of antioxidants. Antioxidants are cancer preventive and help fight negative effects of aging. However, caffeine mildly stimulates the nervous and cardiovascular systems. It increases heart rate, blood flow, respiratory rate and metabolic rate, so if it is taken before bedtime, caffeine can interfere with getting to sleep or staying asleep. Too much caffeine can cause nervousness, sweating, tenseness, upset stomach, anxiety and insomia. :)

There are two things about caffeine that I am quite sure of. First is that it would increase the possibility of having hypertension or the condition of having a high blood pressure. Second, it would also affect one's sleeping cycle... Hope this one helps..
