Pay attention to your liver

I was so shocked to hear from my doctor that I have moderate to severe fatty liver change. This probably had been going on for quite some time without showing any symptoms. Or I probably had felt one of its effects but hardly associated it with my liver problem.
I was confined because I had right flank pain which turned out to be due to kidney stones. Finding out about my liver problem through ultrasound was plain incidental but actually poses a far greater risk than my kidney problem.
It doesn't say in the internet that fatty liver is reversible but it can be controlled by lifestyle changes. If ignored, it can progress into cirrhosis (liver scarring) and even liver failure.
Fatty liver is caused by eating too much "bad" food and little exercise so it's really a reality check for me.
You might wanna have your liver checked while its early especially if you are overweight or obese. Fatty liver is a condition that is very quiet and only manifests symptoms when it's already worse. Thank God for my kidneys, it paved the way for me to find out about my condition.

We really need to have a regular check-up not only if we felt some pain.We also need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's not because we are young,we can just abuse our body. Some conditions actually starts from a young age. Some of the fats we consumed when were younger actually affects us when we will be older.Anyway,it's not too late, the key is early diagnosis and hope it will lead to a good prognosis.Get well soon.

I was actually thankful I discovered it earlier on rather than suffer it at a later time when it's much worse.
The challenge here is to do the things to get better like exercise and eating good food when bad food is still very tempting.

Do not overate this condition as a health problem. I will tell you that 95% of people on earth today got this condition.
It is due to drinking, no exercise, wrong body posture and bad ways of life.
It is irreversible - due to other health problems I had, I was asked to perform CT every 3 months. One month the CT showed fatty liver, i Stopped drinking, next time it was gone.
It's that easy.
But you are right that if it worsens, it could cause health issues that will be serious.

That is so true that there are so many people out there with Health problems like from their liver, etc. and may not even know it. Especially as a person gets older it really starts creeping up on you. I know myself I am proactive and even it takes a little while do not Stop until finding out what is wrong and then learning what I need to do to change things.

Hey, TA! How are you doing? So would this mean you are lotting in the hospital?
My case was different though, I am hit on the gall bladder because of sour and fatty foods. I am still under medication since I don't want to go through an operation.
But in your case, I guess it's a need. And please increase your water therapy. And buko juice is a big help, too. But make sure you have eaten something before drinking buko juice. Because it can also arouse acidity.
Please get well soon. My prayers for you tonight. Get well my friend and update us soon, okay?

My gall's fine. In fact my liver doesn't show inflammation or dilation of the tubes whatsoever. But even if this could mean a minor problem only, I should not just take it for granted.
I am drinking buco! I love it actually.

Dear friend,
It is really something emotionally affecting to one who do like to have a better health. But at times some addictions are extremely dangerous. Especially addiction to tasty foods. But it is really much effected when important organs like live, kidney, lungs so on are attacked to the worst. I feel soon the medical science would give a better result in curing them with simple medicines. I feel the change in lifestyle in present day had affected the health of humans mostly. But the will power is most needed for curing all most all body defects.

Hi dawn. I have not done a lot of math lately but there is this so called BMI or Body Mass Index which is actually very accessible in some internet sites. In there I exceeded my ideal weight because even if I'm not really THAT fat, I am also not that tall! So I am considered overweight relative to my height.

I am sorry for your pain, but glad you have found out about this condition. It seems lots of things are caused by this sitting and eating lifestyle. I may have to search this out.

Thanks GG. I am trying to get up more often now, and eat right. And in a matter of days I actually feel better physically and emotionally knowing that I do not feel any guilt after a meal of prohibited food.

Yes, we should always pay attention to our health. The liver is one of the most important organs in our body since its functions include detoxification, metabolic processes, decomposition of red blood cells, etc.
Fried foods are one of the culprits that can cause fatty liver. I think the best way we can do is to avoid these foods which are high in fat.
We should also avoid junk foods. Before, I used to eat junk foods but when I started to have knowledge regarding its disadvantages, I stopped eating and I disciplined myself. That is why I got jealous when I see my sister eating junk foods but that is the essence of being cautious.
Regardless of how cautious we are, we should always put GOD in the center of heart.
I will put you in my prayers tonight. I hope everything would go well at your end.
God speed!

Hello braveheart, prayers do move mountains so thank you so much.
I have minimized junkfood because of it's harmful effects so I wouldn't say junk caused this. I would say that my sedentary lifestyle and fatty diet had contributed a lot in the development of both my kidney stones and fatty liver.

Monggo is one of the culprits why I developed kidney stone. It is rich in purine which then breaks down into uric acid which cause stones. You may want to go slow on it as well. I know. Restrictions suck!

hi,
yes you're right that we need to pay attention to our liver because it has a big role in our body to maintain it more healthy, especially those we take in our mouth, usually the liver will saturate it and form into a simple sugar and also an organ to stores nutrients on the food we ate.that is why now i don't take some medicine when i can still resist on it.
