I also suffer from vitiligo, which is not very excessive though. It is around my fingers only. You first need to know that this is not pathological, nor can it be transferred to other humans by any means. It is just a cosmetic problem which might, though, in certain circumstances and in excessive amounts cause psychological disturbances. Have you checked with a doctor? A dermatologist can provide SOME help. Let's see - I have had this and I have been treating it for 12 years now. I have not seen any improvement with any of the medication I took, but my doctor swears that if I didn't take them, I would be way worse. So, ointments like Dovobet and Protopic will help stop or limit the expansion. Will they reverse the damage? Very unlikely, but could happen to some people. It didn't happen to me. Then we got some immunosuppresive pills I had taken. The doctor said the pills will make you stronger and more resistive to sickness, so that might aid the ointments into fixing the problem. Did it work for me? Nope. The pills I had taken for 3 years were called Isoprinosine and the drastic substance was Inosiplex. Some recent researches have shown that skin transplant can help, but it is too early to see. Other than those I mentioned, I do not know anything else that could help. But, I will repeat, curing leukoderma, as it is also called, is something with extremely low chances. Please share your thoughts, add some more details.

Hey buddy thanks for sharing your knowledge and yes i have went to a lot of doctors but the problem still persist and therefore i thought to discuss this issue on my lot but i think this is a problem which has no solution so i think one must try to live stress free as stress can cause it to grow and worse the situation.

You are right on this, stress is a major reason for vitiligo increase. Good luck with it!

Isn't that the same condition that the late Michael Jackson had? He had it on his arms I remember. He got it from his father, Joe Jackson. So I'm guessing that it is hereditary. I don't know of any treatments other than cosmetic ones such as bleaching. But please don't take my word for it. I am not a doctor. I just learned it from reading stuff about MJ. :)

Yes i think Michael Jackson had it and yes these can also be hereditary but the actual cause is unknown and therefore there is no particular treatment to it so its a very frustrating condition.
