What do think of parents who beat their adult kids for interracial dating?

I think people who are racist should never be parents to begin with. It makes me really mad when I hear stories about parents beating or even killing their adult kids just for dating a black guy or girl. For example, the movie Jungle Fever where the Italian father beats his adult daughter and saying "I didn't raise you to be with (n-word)." Just goes to show that they are selfish and never really loved their children and would sacrifice that love for their own reputation. How despicable.
