First of all, at what time does this message appear? Is it a blue screen? Preferably if you can, upload a screenshot of the message if possible. My guess from the info you give is that the HD has some physical problem, possibly some bad sectors or an imminent hard disk failure. Try doing a full scandisk analysis with full surface scan, and let it run (it may take a loooooong time on big disks). If it starts to found some bad sectors, repair them, and if it found a lot of them, be ready to buy a new HD. Anyway, I suggest you to build a good backup of all important data right away, just in case something bad happens.

Did you just plug out an external drive? or perhaps a USB flash drive without removing it first from task bar?

you can put back in whatever you plugged out so that you will not experience that pop up again. It's looking for that storage that you just plugged out.

This is something wrong with your operating system. You' better restore your operating system. It is also the easy way to solve the problem.

if after restoring your operating system and the problem is still the same, maybe the OS is pirated... or it's installer copied cd is a generic... as illegal disk copying of piracy....

Try to fix it with registry fixer, you can search it in net usually there are free some are not. If that's not enough, go scan your computer with any malware scanner and anti-virus to check if your infected... =)

Is it an HP/Compaq machine? There may be several causes (and a different solution for each). Here are just some forum posts which may help: 1) http://forums.cnet.com/7723-6142_102-243141.html - Scroll down until you find the response by mercerik - 4/26/07 11:18 AM 2) http://forums.techguy.org/windows-xp/561879-windows-no-disk-exception-processing.html - see the response by 'andy_k'. 3) http://help.wugnet.com/windows/Exception-Processing-Message-c0000013-ftopict565646.html - several possible causes mentioned here, but no real solution.

a good place to get computer tech help is on online website of the your computer's brand name. it has helped me in the past. the technical people have helped me figured out what the computer problem was, and they gave me step by step instruction on how to fix it myself. it was free, and it worked.

Sorry i dont have any help about whats wrong with your computer. But when i first got my first computer my son gave me so excellent advise. He said,"Never let anyone else your computer." The few times i did i was sorry. Once after allowing a computer illiterate look at some files i made ona floppy he completely deleted hours of work. Another time a friend kept adding stuff to my favorites. My son in law always tries to remove necessary stuff from my desktop saying you dont need that there. How the heck would he know what i need there? I found it best to just stick with my sons wise advise. A computer has so much personal info on it.

Copy and Paste all this information to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help. I forgot to see if you're in another country. You might have to ^ change your location. Go to "the horses mouth" to get your answers. You'll be glad you did!

I have never heard of that before. I guess I never did because I use a Mac computer. I never get all those error messages or viruses. I guess the best way to fix your problem is to get a Mac. LOL. I know they're expensive but they are worth every penny.

I have faced such issues with my laptop. Then it was a question of missing conections or loose connections. The folliwng link may help u fix the problem. You say PC is working:L http://www.consumingexperience.com/2007/11/windows-no-disk-exception-processing.html http://forums.techarena.in/windows-update/1009223.htm It also depends on luck. some are free and some are charged. some initially allow free download afterwards it will tell u have to buy some software. take care/

It sounds very much to me like something has been downloaded and is effecting your registry boot-up files. You could try putting our PC back to an early time and see if it happens then, if not, then something has been changed. I have had such messages in the past when I have got to a website that has a virus on it - usually traffic exchange sites have done this, so I don't use this any more. Putting my computer back to an earlier time, has often fixed, and then I have done a virus check with mcafee that I have installed. I don't like messages like that coming up, so I tend to do something about it ASAP.. Hope that you find a solution.. _Derek
