Is there any John Sandford fans out there?

I am new to reading John Sandford's books. I started with the Vigil Flower's series and loved them! I am now on the second book of the Kidd series. I don't know if it's because the books of the Kidd series are from the late 80's early 90's, but they're not as easy a read as the Flower's books. Also, I have not read any of his PREY books yet, and am looking for some comments, reviews, etc...If you read Sandford, which was your favorite book and why? Look forward to hearing your opinions.

I probably shouldn't even be responding to this - because I have not read this author or even heard of him - but based on your apparent interest in authors and genres, I would hazard to guess this will become one of my new authors too! LOL! What are the series about? Is it also crime/mystery? Which would you start with?

Hey there again maezee~lol!!! The "Prey" books are about a cop named Lucas Davenport and the stories take place in Minnesota. They are about creepy and whacked murderers and the story lines can become pretty intense. The first book in the series was "Rules of Prey". Before I even began this series, I read the Virgil Flowers Series, which was excellent and actually mentioned Lucas Davenport in them. And, the Kidd series...which was good too, but not as good as the previous two. From what I understand about you and the type of books you read, you would def. enjoy them and I highly recommend. Let me know if you do decide to start reading them ;)

Hey edsss 17!!! Thanks for the reply! I highly recommend Sandford. He is a great author if your looking for someone new to read. I have never read a Nicholas Sparks book, but I have seen some of his movies and I absolutely love them (esp. The Notebook). I may have to check him out for myself. I could always use new authors to read! Thanks again and happy reading!!!

well, i am a john sandford fan too.. i am reading the prey series, started with the rules of prey.. so far, i have collected and read 6 books of the prey series, and dark of the moon. I really love the way john sandford describe his characters and the way he laid out the plot.. He's a grandmaster in depicting twisted minds in his books...
